Sengun's 6'10, Victor's 7'4 and moves like he's a foot shorter. That's the difference. You're not comparing like for like players, Sengun will never have the physical gifts to have Victor's ceiling regardless of how skilled he is.
You realize all of his games this year are on the NBA app. So, there's a good chunk of people who has actually watched him play in the games.
I know this sounds messed up, but at first I thought you were trolling. But, I see we just have very different opinions and you do believe in your stance so I apologize for the first comment to you.
You have hands and a keyboard. Do it yourself. Dude is missing 10 straight one legged 3 pointers and when he makes one he becomes the next big superstar. lmao. I said it once and i'll say it again. This dude was clowned in Euroleague (the best league in overseas) that Luka dominated and won the MVP at the same age. And guess what? He refused to play in a Euroleague team because he knows he's not being picked at #1 if he does. So he decided to play in a farmers league and he's farming stats.
You made the claim that Wemby was only slightly better than Thabeet and claim that people are hyped by only seeing Wemby's highlights. I didn't make all these claims. You know, in here, you find evidence that substantiate your claims or you are a troll. Throwing out "opinions" without proof won't be respected here. Do that enough times, people will just ignore you and you'll be talking to yourself.
It's very simple. Even if we have the worst record in the NBA it's still a 14% chance at nabbing him. That's still very low. I'll be more than happy to see the current core substantially improve so they get to somewhere around 30 wins and drop that percentage to 8% or whatever. Its not worth sacrificing development of really promising guys we have currently for a 14% chance at a generational prospect.
It's not really my problem if you are unable to type "Hasheem Thabeet college highlights" on youtube search bar and it's really sad to see that you have no counter arguement for the other facts written on my post so you just decided to delete them on quote.
I just watched him play for the first time, he's a taller Anthony Randolph. Rockets should be looking at Scoot...Henderson
Just looked this up... Hasheem Thabeets career high ppg in a game is 33 points in a Japan - B1 League, a league that just started in 2016, which that game raised his ppg season average to 13 ppg, which is his career high in an NBA game and also career high season average as a professional... beating his GLeague career high average of 13.8 with Santa Cruz Warriors in 09-10. https://www.proballers.com/basketball/player/47718/hasheem-thabeet
Just watched highlights of Hasheem too. Yeah even in attempt to be open minded this comparison is the Corey Brewer to Jalen Green 2022.
This. So our chances of drafting him improve by 6%. Mind you, we've had the worst record two years in a row and didn't get the top pick either time. Also mind you, it's not a sure shot the Wemby turns into the second coming. It's a ~50/50 shot, that Wemby is a bust. Greg Oden was the consensus #1 and got hurt his rookie year. Even Zion has yet to reach his potential. Homegren got hurt before pre-season. A bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bush. Let's start to build a winning culture here (but then rest guys in the final month or so if we are close) and then let the chips fall where they may. [edit: fixed typo]
Alright pal, any thoughts on he's averaging literally same numbers Sengun averaged in a slightly better league when he was at his age and he completely got outclassed in the league Luka won the MVP when he was at his age?
Looking at the Rockets' remaining schedule this season, I just don't see how they outtank the other teams hovering near the bottom of the standings. Not enough to have one of the 3 worst records in the league. They'd have to shut down key players(possibly including Jalen) around the All-Star Break to pull that off.
