The good thing about winning games it’s that it allows you to actually tank. I’m sure Green and Bari will be more susceptible to “ankle sprains” as the season goes along whilst freeing up minutes for josh and others.
It's a good thing we actually are winning and looking better, you need growth from the young guys and wins to keep morale up, build chemistry and build winning habits more effectively. Also, you don't want to go into FA with worst record and then just try to convince a guy we're the team for him to join. You want to show you are already capable and these types of wins, against the Suns, Sixers & Bucks are definitely eye-openers for potential free agents and guys looking to get paid, switch teams etc. Not saying we're likely to win enough to get into play-offs but bottom 5 definitely doesn't look like it will last for much longer. And that's a good thing. Picking between 4-8 still gets you a crazy talented guy or a pick you can dangle in a trade!
Surely we will tank if our young guys end up winning a few too many games right? You don’t try your best to finish with a pick in the 5-10 range when you can easily be bad enough to finish in the 1-3 range. Especially when there’s a LeBron and a Melo in the draft. Shame we didn’t have our pick in the LeBron draft. Could you imagine if we had early mobile Yao and LeBron?
Dead last has yet to win the lottery in this new system so i'm good with being 2nd or 3rd last, or was it top 4 equal odds? If so, 4th last is fine too.
I genuinely don't understand the big fuss about this dude. Dude is playing in a slightly worse league than Sengun did, putting up more or less same numbers Sengun did at his age and people act like he's f*cking prime Jordan. He played in a competitive league previous season and he got clowned with %33 fg. Dude is just slightly better Hasheem Thabeet. He's much more likely to be a bust than a superstar. And tbh his chance of not having a major injury within 2 years with 7'4 and 230 lbs is slim to none.
Well if u skip out on him and he becomes the next big superstar u look like an idiot. Even the spurs r tanking for him.
I'm not saying the Rockets should skip out on him but i also know he's not becoming the next big superstar. The dude was outclassed in the league that Luka won the MVP at the same age. Nobody mentions it but after the disaster he had in the best league in the Europe on previous year, dude just chickened out and refused to play in the Euroleague. Now he's farming stats and guarentees the #1 spot in the draft.
You either see it or you don't. Evidently you don't. No problem with that, unless you somehow become GM of the Rockets.
Well, I don’t think Rickets will be bottom three worst record. They’re gelling pretty good now and it’ll probably get better
Most of you have no idea about his play, his strengths, his weaknesses, the quality of the competition he's in and y'all are jerking off to few highlights you see here and there.
The way we are playing, this simply won't be an issue. We'll still get a good draft pick, but I doubt we'll be a serious Wembanyama contender.
