Yeah, why won't he go play tougher defenses?

Bama barely beat a Texas team with a backup QB, and almost lost to an A&M team that was one of the worst teams in the league.

Maye doesn’t lose with the talent at Bama, and Young isn’t doing what Maye did with the talent at NC.
    He would have got killed

Why do you think the odds are any slimmer of the Texans getting a top 2 pick in the 2024 draft. Than a midget QB being able to win a championship, knowing only 1 QB shorter than 6'0 has won a championship and he won that with a great defense/run game when he walked in the door. Something neither of which the Texans will have anytime soon.

I suggest you look up strength of schedule for them, I posted them earlier. But you can keep on being disingenuous

Alabama's defense has nothing to with Young. Young willed them to a win against Texas. They won though. Bama is not Bama of previous years. Maye lost to Georgia Tech.....and had a bad game doing it.

Bama is still far more talented than NC and USC.

No one is making excuses. Young's numbers speak for themselves. I going to take Williams and Young's numbers over Maye's because of the competition. Plus, Maye was dogshit in his last 3 games.

    You’re showing your bias.
Maye is better than Young period.
And it’s convenient you leave out rushing numbers, Maye was NC leading rusher as well.
Pollack, a very good analysts and football player is taking Maye number 1 if he has choice.

Why don't go read my comments about Young from September? You think Im biased? I wanted CJ Stroud because of Young's size. However, my opinion evolved as the season went on. He (Pollock) doesn't. Just another failed Pro who can't evaluate for ****.

Pollack is one of the best in the game at talent evaluation.
And he wasn’t a failed pro, he was a beast that got a major injury. The disrespect is ridiculous

Stroud at 21 is crazy even wilder that NY would dump Wilson this fast and its a fair warning to everyone that thinks you draft a QB when you need a QB no matter what - then you end up having to waste picks fixing the error. I may not be pushing Stroud for QB1 after this season, but he's still a gifted passer and for him to slip that far is a stretch IMO. Theoretically you could go Carter/Stroud in this draft which might be better than Young/Bresee (and I like Bresee alot). LOL @ the Bears doing Bears things at 3! Its an interesting mock nonetheless.

    Trust the big boards!

I don't think Stroud will fall that far, but people are starting to hone in on something that I saw earlier. Stroud does not perform well under pressure nor does he possess the ability to create off script at a high level. The bowl game against Georgia is critically important for him to show that he can play well when things aren't perfect. I'm not the biggest fan of PFF, but Stroud was almost last among college football qbs in rating when under pressure. That's not a good sign for a nfl prospect.

If he’s as good or close to a Travis Kelce then it’d be worth it. I’m more inclined to get a stud receiver there and then Ika at the top of the 2nd. Or Breese and then Jalin Hyatt. We’re in a great position to really patch up holes well though.

With so many holes and picks, it's impossible to screw the draft up. And if they actually tried in free agency, they'd fill more of those holes. By trying I mean no longer shopping around for knock off brands.
FA pick ups, 2 of the following 3 would make me jump on a table.
Garret Bradburry, he'd be the best center since prime Chris Myers and Ben Jones. 8 mil.
Eagles Chauncy Johnson to play alongside Pitre. I think we're pretty good in our defensive backs with the addition. Give him 11 milly
Finally adding Cody Barton from Seattle to address LB with Harris and a rookie.

I think Nick will keep the 1st overall and trade the Cleveland pick. I haven't given up hope that the Clev pick ends up in the top 6.

I'm feeling the TE pick in the mid 1st rd.. A dynamic TE can open up our shitty as WRs.. These TEs nowadays are hybrids anyhow.. I'm on board with fix the offense 1st.. Young and this TE can get you an additional tie to add to your win total in my latest calculations..
