I've been a big critic of Harden, but comparing KPJ and Harden is like comparing Matt Maloney and Chris Paul, or Corey Brewer with Jalen Green. ;)

No one has compared KPJ to Harden, but you do you.

I’ve seen some people say we should throw big money at FVV, but I just checked — FVV’s numbers are lower than KPJ’s virtually across the board. That dude really fell out this season.

Some on this board are too young to remember Downtown Freddy Brown and Dennis Johnson of the Seattle Supersonics or Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton or Michael Jordan and Jim Paxton.
With back courts like that both guards could playmake, so you didnt need a true PG, because both guards can playmake.

With the Rockets the thing I see that I REALLY like is the possibilty of their defense! With both guards being 6'6", along with Smith and I keep saying if this team can get Myles Turner, we can finally see this teams true identity.....A LOCKDOWN DEFENSIVE TEAM!

I thought it was funny as a certain podcast personality commented that Harden
was playmaking since his days at Arizona State. His court vision has been elite
    since then.....

The guy with no court vision won the game over the guy with superior court
    vision recently. Rockets vs 76ers.

So does that advantage really matter? Just a question for the masses

True that. Along those same lines, Embiid is an MVP candidate and the Rockets don’t have one.

So does that advantage really matter?

Based off the results of 1 game. The answer is clear.

Sengun is preferred over Embiid confirmed. Sengun Only Fans rejoice. KPJ fans who diss Sengun faint.

The Jalen Green splits thread had me interested in how KPJs numbers looked

    Home : 20.7/5.9/5.6 on 51.8 TS% AST/TO : 1.47
    Road : 17.6/5.3/5.9 on 53.2 TS% AST/TO : 1.53

    Wins : 18.1/6.8/7.0 on 53.7 TS% AST/TO : 1.44
    Losses : 19.0/4.9/5.2 on 52.2 TS% AST/TO : 1.56

Pretty consistent no matter the outcome or where we play. Efficiency pretty low in all scenarios. Rebounds and assists bump up in wins.

KPJ is not a bad player, but he is the worst starting PG in the League. Without a doubt. Logically, it's not all the guy's fault.

ya he's been horrendous. He's a good defender while KPJ is horrible which would help, and he doesn't turn it over which would help, but he's probably not worth the big money it would take

FVV's knees are cooked, he's damaged goods at this point. Would not touch with a 10 feet pole.

So good to see our young Combo guards having good games together, even though it is a slow process there are signs they are coming together and getting better.

It is hard for us to be patient, but if this works out we will have a major advantage in almost every game with two 6'6" guards on the perimeter.

    Scoot and Bucket.....

Hopefully Scoot won't break Harden's all time 'Most turnovers in a season" record.

    :)

The old conventional hard wired thinking is changing.

I'm as old school as they come....but it's easy to see how the NBA is trending.

Scoring by committee, rebounding by committee, playmaking by committee.....winning by committee

    Time for new wired thinking

It's not massive, it's converting on 2 more shots a game, and you all keep leaving out the fact that Brunson is playing on a much better team and has more offensive threats.

What's massive is the level of talent and veterans that Brunson is playing with, that's as huge as the 5% you all keep harping on.

Why don't you all realize how playing with better talent affects your TS%?

Jalen Brunson has been playing alongside Luka the last 2 years, and he is playing with better players now in NY so yeah he would be more efficient than playing along with guys who just lost the most games last year.

That’s true. All the top teams in the league this year aren’t winning by being led by an MVP caliber player with a quality cast, it’s an 04 Pistons approach that has all those teams winning consistently.

    Right.

The difference between a 30% 3 point shooter and a 50% 3 point shooter is just 2 shots out of every 10. Not a big difference.
The difference between a 70% FT shooter and 90% FT shooter is just 2 shots out of every 10. Not a big difference.

Then don’t bring up Brunson as a comparison to KPJ. Which YOU did. Not me.

Why are you just using 10 shots? We are are talking about 2 shots a game over 40+ games.

Why do you continue to ignore the higher level of talent and coaching the 2 players have had?

We are talking about the outcomes of games and this team making 2 more shots a game does not make this team better.
