Brock Purdy looked like a damned good QB today. Definitely good at making reads. Literally every other team could have snagged him.
The QB position in the NFL just amazes me, full of big surprises, and here we're all hoping for the #1 pick instead of the #2 pick.

The Texans are also the youngest franchise. Go check out the first 30 years of Saints history, then get back with me. Same for the 25 years of Bucs history. Check out the Cardinals' History. Everything is relative.

No. They didn't know what or if they would get something in a trade for Watson. The rebuild started in March. That sat Watson in a secret agreement with the NFL.

So... why didn't they play Watson last year? Is it mostly because they didn't want him to get hurt and diminish his value? If that's the answer then they started their rebuild last year.

If it was because they thought Taylor and Mills would lead them to more victories and gave them a chance to make the playoffs then their management is dumber then we think.

Are we supposed to criticize the bad players or not?

Are we supposed to criticize the bad coaches or not?

Are we supposed to criticize the bad owners or not?

Or are we just supposed to sit back and take it?

The corpse of Clayton Williams and some of us others eagerly await your response.

He was very good in college, I got to see a lot of him. I'm rooting for Max Duggan to be the next great midround QB, unless he's drafted earlier.

Also out of Iowa State, I have no idea how Lazard lasted as long in the draft as he did. All the guy did in college was catch anything near him and make plays.

Scarface wants fans to 100% kiss the franchise a$$ and praise every thing they do. Even if our team is sht paint it with rainbow and sparkles. If u don't want to do that, he would tell u to go find another team. He's been telling me to go find another team for years.

You can criticize anything you want. It becomes whining at a point. Personal attacks...same. Pep Hamilton is a bad play caller, needs to be gone. Criticize the job performance. It was like Dusty Bakers and dumb asses attacking him personally when the Astros have a double digit lead, cruising to the division because they don't like his lineups. The fans want the #1 pick, but they want meaningless wins, why? If you want Bryce Young, you need to lose basically every game to assure that. It is not going to be pretty.

No, I don't waste my time worrying about now...when I know the team is supposed to suck. I am looking at 2023 and 2024 and what comes then.

And yet somehow the Texans are on the inside track to be worse than all of them… there’s nothing relative about the Texans shittiness and their idiot owner who has no clue how to fix any of this (yet somehow will still get to pick the coach… or fire his GM…. Or keep everybody because he has no idea what he’s doing).

The Saints and Bucs? Is that really where we are at? The Saints were considered the worst franchise even until the Bucs came along.

Jesus.. thanks for making my point.

Also the Bucs in their 4th year went further in the playoffs than the Texans have in their entire history.

The Cardinals won a championship their 5th or 6th season in the NFL.

Even the lowlife Saints won 12 games in a season by this point in the Texans history. The Texans have managed to win a playoff game at least.

The point is that the Texans franchise has been a disappointment and doesn’t deserve the support it gets. The vast majority of Houston would dump them for another franchise if they could. It’s been over two decades and the franchise has barely bonded with a city that badly wanted a football team. After nearly a quarter of a century people want the Oilers back - that tells you how bad the McNair family and their franchise has been, and more importantly; how forgettable they are.

I know, you have been doing that for two decades and likely always will. Reality isn’t important when you can always look to the future.

Need to give QBs a chance to be figured out. Many QBs shine in their first handful of starts. Once defensive coordinators get film on then, that's when the true test begins.

You are certainly currently wasting a lot of your time worrying about other fans and what they should post/say/think/feel about a team everyone has known was going nowhere, long before you did.

There's literally no one to root for on this team since we are so bad at drafting, the roster turnovers are insane. i think the running back has potential i guess.

Like back then there was arian foster, jj watt, andre johnson, hopkins, and pre exposed watson.

Well, that was the first game this year I watched the entire game, best effort of the year by far. This was your typical moral victory I suppose, they looked decent, and we lost so all is well. I was a bit surprised by the Driskel packages, but it seemed to work. The play calls after we had them in the red zone to possibly win the game were just awful..................moral victory at best, I saw progress and I cant ask for much more
