Wrong...Watson had a good game today despite the 1 pick he had. He pretty much had the same stats as Joe Burrows. Browns have the QB position solidified with Watson, but they need to address other areas to be competitive next year - offensive line, defense & defensive coordinator, lack of wide receiver depth, etc.
Michael Vick also struggled his first season back after serving time in prison so it’s not surprising to see Watson look rusty. You’re sad and pathetic for wishing a season ending injury on a player. The fact that you said “offer up your girl” like a woman is just sexual object shows what I suspected all along. It was never about the sexual allegations for you. My problem is you attacked the other poster for saying Deshaun would be himself again. That person wasn’t defending Deshaun the person but saying Deshaun the player would be himself again. That’s a huge difference. The thread is to talk about Deshaun the player and that’s what he was doing. Can we agree to that?
I’ll agree with that for sure. That poster defends Watson nonstop, he is an admitted fan. And honestly, there’s not much delineation for me, the person is more important than the player. And as bad as he’s looked as a player, he’s a far worse person.
Sadly I was at my friends yesterday and he has Sunday ticket and is a die hard Browns fan. I watched the game from kick off to end. Stats are stats, Chubb and Hunt did squat compared to weeks previous. There were so many off target passes, and the int was something straight out of Davis Mills grab bag. Cincy was stacking the line to make Watson throw. and he was throwing all day yesterday, but not to the level you think by looking at the numbers. There was a lot more available then what he got. Please do not come with Wrong as your first words in a post. We can be gentlemen and agree to disagree.
I know you hate Watson, but the narrative that Brissett or Davis Mills are at the same skill level as Watson is 100% wrong. You’re describing last week’s game. Watson improved and was accurate for most of the game. He also picked up a significant amount of rushing yards being the dual threat QB he is. The QB position is not the Brown’s problem right now and was not the reason they lost the game. Stefanski’s 4th and 1 play call with Brissett, that roughing the punter penalty, all the penalties made by the offensive line, etc. were the main reasons the Browns lost. This should be obvious to anyone who watched that game.
Remember, I said at this time. And, please look back at any and all of my posts. I don't think I have ever chimed in on Deshawn's situation, other than to maybe add a chuckle or 2. I have no opinion on Watson, other than I just want us to use the draft capital in a proper way. Please check my posts then you might want to retract your "I know you hate Watson" part of your response. I don't know where your vitriol is coming from. I just think they win the game yesterday if Brissett is taking the snaps. Just my opinion. I never state anything as fact on this board, unless it is FACT.
