Because they are "emotionally" invested in him. This is 2022 and decisions are made off of feelings not analysis.

Hopefully they “redevelop” him back into what he was last year. Put the combo/point guard thing they are trying for to rest. I also think Christopher may have asked to go down so he can play. (If placed in the same situation, I would) He has seen the league already and oddly enough had some success.

Sucks, but he appears to be the odd man out on the roster and the odd man out of the 2021 Rockets draft class

Since Summer League JayGup hasn't passed the ball.

I think it is fair enough to have given Nix a look ahead of him. But hopefully Jaygup gets the message about passing, and gets the backup PG minutes sooner than later

Yep. He was maybe the most selfish ball hog I’ve ever seen in Summer League, and he hasn’t quite gotten out of the habit yet. I think he’s tying too hard to impress and it has hurt his overall game. Dude just needs to relax.

This shouldn't be a Nix bashing thread. Christopher has to stop ball hogging but I believe he's got a role after the trade deadline. I mean if not, jesucristo. Idk how being the biggest fish in the small pond is supposed to fix JC's ball hoggery but at least he'll get some runs in.

JC got the 35 pts 9 assists in his 1st NBDL game.

    Most selfish ball hog? Lol

If he gets 35 points total up to the AllStar break, I'd be surprised ..

Maybe the strategy is to make sure the Vipers win another G league championship?

Nix is still here because he is a better team player than JC. He is a better facilitator than KPJ with the same amount of playing time. Plus he is one of the best 3 pt. shooters on the team if not the best. His play would look better with more PT.

    Same as it always is.

Poor roster construction, mediocre at best rotations and the head coach lacks the ability to make plays and roles so his players succeed.

Silas had absolutely no idea how to play Jabari Smith the first month of the season. Apparently he never watched an Auburn game.

I’m giving Stone and silas to some degree the benefit of the doubt for now.

Based on some things they’ve both said in the past I believe the tank is intentional. I think in the heat of games the players do want to win but I don’t believe winning is yet a priority for the organization. And I believe that is coming from the top.

I do think Ego gets moved at the deadline as well and for the young guys like Ty Ty and Gup to get more minutes.

I like that Nix plays like a pg too. If he does figure it out eventually I don’t think it’ll be here. He has some good tools but skill wise he’s just not there.
