Basically this. She can also threaten to caucus with the Republicans and force the shared power agreement to continue (important for committee assignments, judicial appointments, etc). Democrats can't play this game with her. They need to call her bluff. If she runs again, **** her, trust your constituents to know better. If she wants to have all this power, make her own it and work for it.
Interesting enough, the constitution states the politicians represents the people. She was elected to represent the State and people of Arizona, not shitty political parties or ideologues. I'm a little surprised by your perspective on this being you are a constitutionalist (or maybe I made the wrong assumption) I don't know anything about her to make a personal judgement on her character.
Ruben Gallego, a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, is a fourth-term Phoenix congressman and Marine veteran who has long been floated as a potential candidate to primary Sinema from the left. Gallego put out his own statement which didn’t address his own plans, but said: “I have never backed down from fighting for Arizonans … Unfortunately, Senator Sinema is once again putting her own interests ahead of getting things done for Arizonans." Arizona Democrats are sending strong signals they aren’t concerned about the risks of potentially splitting the Democratic vote if Sinema runs again. “Senator Sinema may now be registered as an Independent, but she has shown she answers to corporations and billionaires, not Arizonans,” the state party said in a scathing statement after her announcement. “Sinema just made our jobs easier by bowing out of a Democratic primary she knew she couldn't win,” said the Primary Sinema PAC. “Now, we'll beat her in the general election with a real Democrat."
Being a "Constitutionalist" means about as much as claiming you follow the teachings of Jesus in the year 2022.
I still hear cinnamon when I read sinema. Senator Cinnamon, our first duly elected former stripper.... Vice Presidential running mate to Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Camacho.
The argument Republicans made for voting for Walker is that he was going to vote in their interests, not the interests of the state of Georgia. Most politicians, regardless of party, vote their own interests or their supporters interests over the nation's interests on "controversial" subjects.
I haven’t kept up, is she more libertarian or newly anti left wing platform …either way haters gonna hate
Yeah I get your point. But again, they are there to represent ALL the people, not as a partys representative. I really don't give a damn about party loyalty. If they do their job the best they can, great. I'm a people over party and you're a party over the people. And I say that as someone who believes Democrats favor party over people while Republicans are nothing but obstructionist.
Kyrsten Sinema Is Corporate Lobbies’ Million-Dollar Woman She’s raked in cash from the Chamber of Commerce, Business Roundtable, and others trying to gut the reconciliation bill. Connect the dots. Sinema agrees to landmark climate bill but at a price Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., the last Democratic holdout on the latest $739 billion budget “reconciliation” bill, signed onto it on 4 August 2022, opening the way for its passage this weekend. It will be the most significant climate measure passed in U.S. history but the agreement by Sinema did not come without a price. News reports of Sinema’s conditions include restoring the $13 billion “carried interest” tax break for rich Wall Street hedge fund moguls, plus an unspecified “tweak” to the minimum 15% tax on billion-dollar corporations that right now pay nothing at all.
Neither. She votes almost entirely in lockstep with the Democratic majority (like 96%). She just didn't go along with nuking the filibuster or a $6 trillion BBB bill, so they say she is right wing.
Nah she's always been very similar to you and yours, at least in terms of outlook In Sinema’s 2009 book “Unite and Conquer: How to Build Coalitions That Win — and Last,” she described giving up shrill partisanship, which was making her unhappy, for a vaguely New Age ethos that prized inner tranquillity. One chapter was called “Letting Go of the Bear and Picking Up the Buddha,” with the bear representing fear and anger. “Picking up the Buddha (becoming a super centered political actor) makes you a stronger, more effective you,” she wrote. “To be your most fabulous political self, you’ll need to learn to recognize the bear and learn to let go of it in your work.” Most fabulous! @tinman @CrixusTheUndefeatedGaul @AroundTheWorld Too bad her dream of a red wave didn't come true.
