man, I really don’t see why this makes sense. He’s had success at that level and he’s had success at the nba level. What he needs is playing time or a chance to catch on with another team. Everyone says we are in no rush to move players but this is an example of what happens when u don’t consolidate and focus on prioritizing player development. We’ve got minutes for Nix and Matthews, but Christopher will ride the pine? How is the g-league gonna help him? I remain concerned with the organizations lack of willingness to prioritize the development of our highest upside players. Makes no sense. Christopher can be a really good player in the nba.
One thing I do find interesting about this team, is that they do tend to hang out together in groups quite often. I'm sure its because they are all around the same age and were moved to a new city without knowing ppl. We saw Harden and Westbrook very rarely even hang with each other. I haven't seen players really hang out since Dwight was on the team with Parsons. PJ and CP3 were actually pretty close as well, but rarely spotted together. I think having a family is what maybe kept Westbrook from hanging with Harden as much. I think he had a new baby around the time he was on the Rockets. I have seen the 3 2022 first rounders hang out together throughout summer league, but even today they are together. We've seen Tari hang out with both vets and rookies, Jalen and KPJ are often together as well. The vibe just seems different from Hardens Rockets, Harden apparently was too cool to hang out w the team outside of work, he often even took his own private jet instead of the team plane, not sure if this is good or bad long term though. The Harden Rockets (later years post Dwight) seemed not as close knit, but they were also more about business. I think once you have guys dating Kardashians they become too cool for school. Hoping that we get the best of both worlds (being close knit and professional with the same goals) as these guys mature as ball players.
