I don't think there's one single person here who thinks because we get worst record in the league we automatically get the #1 pick. I also think the majority of people where do not want to finish dead last.
People whined when we got the #14 pick three years in a row and now people whine when we tank. I guess the sweet spot is the #8 pick so all the tankers and anti-tankers can be equally unhappy.
That’s your own perspective if you see panic instead of concern or worry that the rockets chance to get a potentially franchise altering player is lessening.
i dont say green is not on schedule or that booker is not good...i love booker...i just say you dont have to have top pick to pick top players or to develop top players....you dont even need picks... it can be done with undraftees...its all fluid and just a matter of opportunities/PT/role and support... top 100 young players now whether in nba or in the world(non nba players) is not set in stone and it fluctuates...they are all almost equally talented... anyone in top 100 young players today(or top 100 players in general) can be the top player or top 10 player in a few years....depending on his work and opportunity ie PT coaching, org support and fans inspiration....
Are the Spurs tanking for that phenom #1 draft pick? I haven't been watching them but their record seems odd.
There's a chance he'll probably be the face of the NBA after a few seasons. As great as Luka/Giannis/Embiid/Tatum/etc are... They're really not the "face" of the league like a Jordan or Lebron was. Wemby, if he can stay healthy, can be that.
The league would probabaly love for Wemby to be San Antonio. They do great with bigs and the fundamentals. In the other hand, the league orobabaly doesn’t trust Silas and Fertitta cheap ass with Wemby
