EG, Tate, KJ, JC, Garuba, Matthews and 5 draft picks (Our own #1 and 2nd, plus Brooklyn's and Milwaukee's)....Some bodies have to go! Do we keep some the bench players we have and keep getting better, consolidate some of the draft picks in trades or use all the draft picks and keep getting younger?
I'm still holding into KJ and Garabu. I'd be reluctant to let go of JC. Get a competent pg for EG, Tate, Nix and a draft pick. Make JC the back up sg so he can get some playing time.
“We have 13 guys who deserve playing time, and it’s not always an easy call as far as who gets to play and who doesn’t,” Silas said after practice on Friday. ....when yer too stupid to prioritize your developmental plan - it causes problems...
Let the bodies hit the door Let the bodies hit the door let the bodies hit the Doooooooooooooooooooor
Jalen Green Jabari Smith . . . Everyone else is expendable (sorry Porter and Sengun fans) They don’t have 5 draft picks this year. They have their own and Milwaukee’s(currently 29th). Brooklyn is a swap. They don’t have a 2nd. Backup PG: Nix or Washington, choose one. Backup C: Garuba or Fernando, choose one. Gordon & Tate should probably be moved (Gordon for sure; Tate is hurt so…) (Silas’ view) Christopher is an odd-man out Jalen Green Jabari Smith Jr. Kevin Porter Jr. Kenyon Martin Jr. Tari Eason Alperen Sengun Jae'Sean Tate Eric Gordon Daishen Nix Garrison Mathews Bruno Fernando Usman Garuba Josh Christopher TyTy Washington Jr. Boban Marjanovic Trevor Hudgins (2W) Darius Days (2W)
My bad. But still, I think there needs to be a trade or trades. Also, they will have money this off season to spend....its going to be interesting!
No one leaves until draft day or Silas is gone.. Whichever comes 1st.. I'd have 25 trade proposals on deck yesterday ..and 25 contingency plans
KPJ, Green, Smith, Sengun, Garuba, Eason, KMJ. Those players are the future and are growing together. I hope that core stays together and I think with few pieces and a better head coach will be fighting for the playoffs in another year or two.
Tate can have the Eric 'mentor' role. Ain't no way I'm trading Martin and Gabagool is too young to give up on. But free Gordon!
Staying: Jalen Jabari Sengun KPJ Garuba KMJ Tate Tari These guys will not be on the team next year EG Nix Boban Everyone else is up in the air. Hoping for a vet PG, a knockdown off-ball shooter, and a defensive wing like Thybulle.
Drafting is easy, with so many picks, it is deciding whom to go forward with and whom to jettison that is hard. If you screw up like OKC did in choosing Westbrook over Harden you lose your chance at a ring.....so Stone is entering the hardest part of his job....figuring out whom to build around and whom to move on for future considerations. Here is my take on what we should do. Cornerstone pieces Green Jabari Sengun Keepers KPJ KMJ Eason Can stay or moved nuetral Garuba Mathews Tate Bruno Should be moved Christopher Nix Boban Gordon Too Early to tell yet TyTy Hudgins Days Those are the 17 on the roster......including 2 way players...... This times ten, we don’t know what we really have till another coach get a chance and change prospective because Silas is still to new at being a head coach to make career judgments off of. Stone obviously liked everyone well enough to put them on the team.
That's basically the way I'm thinking too. I think there needs to be a consolidation trade to make room for better incoming players via the draft and/or free agency to get to the next level. And based upon your list, we may need to include one of the players from your KEEPERS LIST. And out of those three, I would may have to chose KJ. For example, if we got the #1 pick and chose Wemby. Wemby could play the 3/4, which is KJ's spot. Or if we signed Myles Turner in FA, who do you trade? Those decisions will have to be made this yr
