    QB duh.

Take Young (something that we failed to do over 15 years ago) and be done with it.

I haven't watched the Texans all year (mainly from working), signing Baker would interest me in not working and watching.

Seems like a genius consideration by Casserio... unless it fails then it was Cal's decision.

LOL. Looking back, VY was more mediocre than I remember. Statistically, Mayfield > Vince.

Still 4-0 against the sorry ass Texans.

    Overall records by comparison:

    VY - 31/19

    Baker - 30/35

Yep, Baker is most definitely the superior QB.

Yes, draft Young and stop overthinking this. If the hope is otherwise to hope we suck again next year and go after Maye or Williams, you’re also assuming they’ll come out or we’ll be in position.

Too many “ifs” where you have a bird in hand this year. Levi’s is fool’s gold someone else can draft and Stroud is too streaky, especially when any of his studs isn’t around. Young had a good year in spite of having lesser weapons this year AND was the reason his team won many of their games. None of the other options this year scream that they are really the catalyst.

Not only that, but if we hit, we'll be in line for a potential large haul of trade back picks from tes trying to get those QBs next year.

Mayfield will look just as bad as Mills/Allen. Practically anybody's going to lookbad behind this OL with a lack of weapons at the skill positions.

But hey, maybe Mayfield can QB sneak without fumbling for a TD or throwing an int on a screen pass. So there is that.

I think drafting a 5'10 QB is just as big of a risk as waiting a year to draft Williams/Maye.

History says taking a Doug Flutie sized QB is even a bigger risk.

    Team success vs. Individual Success

Vince threw more INT's than he did TD's. He completed less than 60% of his passes. His career passer rating is 12 points lower than Mayfield's. The most passing yards he threw in a season is still 500 yards fewer than Mayfield's worst season.

This isn't arguing that Mayfield is good, just that VY kind of sucked. In hindsight, passing on Vince was not some monumental mistake. And if we do draft Bryce Young, let's just hope he's better than the last Young QB Texans fans got excited about.

Baker would definitely fit with the gutter trash qbs on this roster. Bring him in and keep that tank rolling.

You never know with rookie QBs, but one thing they must have is time on the bench.
Sit them behind a vet for a year with some competent coaches around him.
If he fails, you try again the next year.
This method also allows you to draft another position with your first on alternate years.
This team is in rebuild mode anyway so patience is needed.
