It's not limited to gay people.

And gays on the right don't have this (deliberately modulated) inflection. Richard Grinnell, Douglas Murray, Peter Theil, Dave Rubin, none of them sound like they've been castrated.

Very recently used by two leftists on this board, as I showed. Could surely find more examples, but not necessary to show that you got caught being the pot calling the kettle black.

Are you disputing what I actually said or the words you imagine I said?

For the record, I don’t think you’re alt-right or a Trump supporter just because you liked Commodore’s post or because you’ve used “soy boy” multiple times in the past as an insult. So if this is just you being defensive, don’t worry.

I used it a few times for this Parag dude, not for anyone on this board. Good memory though.

Honestly curious, why do some gay people talk like that? Is that a learned behaviour or just part of being more "feminine"?

There's a male flight attendant on the flight I'm on who talks like that. His fingernails are painted. It doesn't bother me, I'm just wondering...why? What does it do for him?

I think people talk the way they do out of habit and based on the people they keep company with. Their inflection is no more “deliberately modulated” than the people you named.

Even if Twitter was supporting Democrats, that's not election interference. If that is, that Sinclair and Fox News are 10x guilty.

Seems Musk doesn't understand why a foreign power influencing a US election is different than a US corporation which the Citizen's United decision protects.

Babylon Bee is too dangerous to be allowed on Twitter

That this petty tyrant dweeb had power over what people can read and say is a disgrace.

You mean Twitter took down Babylon Bee's website? You couldn't go there? Wow! I didn't know that!

Musk: We are growing so fast and all the advertisers are coming back that we dont have time to fix the ad bug ... that just so happened when twitter found a fresh resurgence, butttt....

Now that Twitter is private.... I'm sure Elon will provide the best and most truthful data about what's really happening. Like what he had to do in order to convince advertisers to come back... I'm sure he'd never do anything Zuck shenanigans with user data.

I will say it was shrewd for Elon to act/be a madman on Twitter in order to sow chaos and drive engagement. Since he's clearly red pilling it, I'm sure it was a strategy to get back all the alt-right and incels (which are generally the same) that moved over to Truth Social and Parlor.

The Hunter tweet dumps.... a shrewd move to gin up engagement.

I'm sure Russia and China are very active on Twitter now that Twitter is far less concerned about content moderation, which favors sowing chaos.

Bruh I've been saying from the beginning. He bought Twitter so he could mine the data. And not for some stupid nefarious reason to elect a bafoon like Trump.
    Which leads me to....

A very successful man doesn't spend 44B simply to attract some right wing degens who have no money.

Your heart is in the right place, but your logic - there is none.

Altruistic capitalism? It's for the civilization fam!

What about DeSantis? I don't think we can discount that Elon would use twitter to further the candidates that would be useful to him? You think so?

    LOL. Elon didn't spend 44B.

Elon runs a social media company.... he needs engagement and users.... so he lets the alt right back in with open arms and tweets like a red pilled bruh. Elon tweets like the non paint chip version of Trump, and presto! More users and engagement!

Zuck is trying to build out his Meta. Elon is trying to build out his WhatsApp 2.0.

Likewise, your selective cynicism blinds you.....as if DeSantis isn't the GOP heir apparent.... as if he didn't get money to finance from conservatives like Larry Ellison and the Saudis....

Just days...a few months ago. It's the same thing as long as it fits a certain political narrative.

Science requires heaps of dead monkeys!

To be fair… The Committee of Foreign Investment is looking into how Elon got his funding and if there are any concerns. Not sure there is an official investigation or just concerns.

(An aside that has nothing to do with the conversation.) I think the twitter-sphere is structured wrong. I think twitter itself should be used more like a protocol and be governed by a non-profit supported by member fees from companies that use the protocol. The retail end should be handled by app companies that facilitate users reading and writing tweets/truths/whatever. This twitter protocol is just a wholesale distribution layer and it is a complete free-speech zone. The retail-end apps are the ones who decide what are the ToS for their users, who is banned, etc, but there is only one cloud of public messaging. So, for example, Trump can say some dog whistle stuff through his Truth Social app and it goes into this twitter protocol. Maybe Parler wants to deliver his dog whistle messages from this twitter protocol to his Parler followers, but Mastodon has banned Trump so they won't deliver it. (Okay, carry on.)
