He's the leader of the Republican Party and is running for President.

It’s also not like there are a bunch of Leftists who voted for him, donate to him, go to his rally, or vote for his endorsed candidates like Kari Lake.

it’s always an odd argument that Trump’s relevance is only because “leftist” talk about him rather than the people who actually voted and support him.

Ofc you're missing my point. I never said he was ONLY relevant because of the left. I stated I hear about Trump from his biggest critics and its absurd to demand to censor him then turn around and give him voice. It's utterly stupid logic.

And Trump is not the voice of the Republican party. Another dumb take.

Who is then? I'm genuinely curious, as someone that could vote Republican if the candidate is not named Donald Trump.

It certainly seems like he is, or at least was, until the midterm disaster.

You do know that some of his biggest critics disagree with Twitter banning him? The reason they and the media report his statement is because he's running for President and is the leader of the Republican party. That's will continue until he is no longer relevant.

If and when (they haven't so far) Republican leaders speak out against him for making these statements, he remains a dominant force for Republicans.

You would think someone would have explained to him (in his one-term abominastration) that a single nuclear weapon can't wipe out an entire country. LOL

So it wasn’t Republicans that nominated him, elected him President, nominated him again and then nominated a bunch of candidates that he endorsed.

I’m a pretty consistent Trump critic and I neither was for or against Twitter banning him. I’m neither for nor against Twitter reinstating him.

I recognize Twitter's right to ban him, and I think they did the right thing after 1/6. I don't like how a powerful social media platform can silence a head of state. I hold both opinions at the same time. As for re-instating him, meh.

I absolutely agree Twitter had the right to ban him. I don’t see this as a free speech issue but a matter of property rights.

Whether they should’ve is another matter.

If the left ignored him in 2016, I do believe he would not become president. DeSantis is ignoring him. As I said, Trump was popular because trolled and antagonized the left. He stood for nothing. Trump managed to eek out a large enough following to pick off the weak candidates. And like the Democrats straight ticketing, the Republicans just checked the R. Hilary and Trump, two of the most flaccid politicians of our lifetime.
I just hope we finally reached the bottom and we can all scrape this crap off our feet and move on from Trump.

And yes, Elon Musk is now doing what Trump was doing. Regardless of one's opinion of Musk, he isn't a dumpster fire like Trump.

    I completely agree. Property rights.

I do have some frustration with the free speech narrative he is pushing. This is very Trump like. Silencing or giving voice to people is just one tool of the platform. I am always concerned with anyone who has a large mass following they can control.

In my opinion, it is entirely in the Democrats interests to talk about Trump non stop. Few people are excited about Biden, despite his overall strong performance as president. Post Obama, nobody mobilizes and unifies the Democratic Party like Donald Trump.

Thanks to Trump declaring his intent to run and his ongoing stranglehold on a meaningful block of Republican Congress and voters, it is entirely valid for Democrats to talk about Trump non stop. Until proven otherwise, Trump controls the Republican Party.

Absolutely. You can credit a large part of.thr.maasice disappointment from the GOP in the midterms was the Democrats successfully pouring money into campaigns for Trump approved candidates.

It's definitely a thing. It's not a tactic would necessarily be proud of but it worked and at the end of the day you can only blame the GOP base for being so susceptible to brainwashing.

Also here's my take about msm spamming trump content which is a valid criticism.

The people who constantly defended Trump at every turn the last 5 years have no right (based on principle of course) to be the ones making this criticism. This is causing some moderates to knee jerk defend the msm for doing this.
