So what exactly is the “hunter Biden laptop story” that was suppressed? Photos of his man parts? I’m struggling to understand what story was allegedly suppressed.

The crux of it is the false narrative that Biden allegedly withheld aid to get a Ukrainian prosecutor fired on the made up basis that he was investigating the company that Hunter worked for.

That was debunked years ago however. Biden did pressure them to fire a prosecutor but that was US policy at the time, because the prosecutor wasn't combating the rampant corruption in Ukraine. There were multiple governments trying to get him fired for the same reason.

They are just trying to scream it into existence at this point.

Why does a US politician pressure the government of a sovereign country to fire a prosecutor? And why does his son, who really has no qualifications to speak of, get onto the board of a company in the Ukraine? Do you think that would have happened if not for daddy? And then some Ukrainian thanks the son "for the opportunity to meet his dad". All totally normal...not.

And before you go there, yes, the nepotism in the Trump family isn't any better.

Garden variety influence peddling and dick pics.

This is a losing issue for Republicans.

    They need to move on.

It was a foreign policy objective to help protect against the Russian threat, which was shared by many.

I am sure that Burisma put Biden on their board to try and gain influence. But the US doesn't have jurisdiction to police who foreign companies hire. And Introducing someone to someone else isn't a scandal, even if paid to do so. That whole portion of it is actually quite normal in todays political environment. That is essentially what lobbying is. Hell that is essentially what all campaign finance is after the disaster that was Citizens United Supreme Court ruling.

If you would like the lead an effort to tighten up the corruption laws in this country, I'll stand right there with you on it.

Why didn’t Taibbi point out that the tweets that were “handled” on request by the “Biden Team” were not about influence peddling but instead were salacious nudes of Hunter Biden? Surely he knew that, but didn’t think it relevant to mention?

Taibbi was not a disinterested reporter and he had a particular narrative he was trying to push. And the decision by Musk to select Taibbi for this task says the same about him.

There has always been and still is a good chance that foreign hackers are involved in some ways. There’s a good reason why the FBI would want to be in contact with Zuckerberg about what he might or might not have been distributing. If you think that hard drive went from Hunters hands to Mark Zuckerberg without a foreign hacker ever seeing or passing it along through channels I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

I also don’t know why MAGA fans all now suddenly think this is a story now that they have dick pics when weeks ago they just had coke pics. It’s supposed to be news that news outlets have a vetting process and before the election obviously hacked hard drive was met with some skepticism… and you guys are the same people who get all worked up about Lindsay Graham and John McCain leaking the Dossier to buzzfeed after they gave it to the FBI to look into?

Like I fundamentally don’t understand what these idiots think is important in life, society, and politics. You people are F-ing weird.

The Right seems very concerned that Twitter blocked this story (which was easily found regardless and was analyzed to death by conservative media) for a few days due to concerns that it might have been produced and doctored from hacked materials.

More so than the fact that the Trump campaigned called for the election to be overturned on the baseless allegation of voting machines being hacked and other made up nonsense.
