There a YouTube video of Bryce Young and DJ at the same football camp during their senior year of high school. You can tell by the way they talked and their whiteboard explanations that Bryce Young was way ahead of DJ mentally. Sure enough it’s played out in college as well.

Damn that's a good one.. But the hype for DJ was insane after the freshmen year. Even during..

Haha yeah he was meant to be a hybrid between Lawrence and Watson. Big head though.

Can’t believe y’all were hyping up Drake Maye like he was the best thing ever. The farther along the season has gone the worse he’s played. This is why the whole body of work matters.

I’m watching. He threw a horrible pick 6. He’s not elusive enough to buy time against Clemson’s defense. He turned the ball over on a handoff. Looks like the pressure of the moment got to him and his team isn’t playing well either.

Not elusive enough? What the hell are you talking about?!
On the play he threw the pick, he got away from an all out blitz in two different directions. The throw was high but the receiver gave up on it like it was meant for another player.

He’s been making plays against one of the best fronts in college football. He is their offense.
Teams have either been rushing 3 and dropping 8 or all out blitz for the last 3 games including tonight. That’s complete respect for a redshirt freshman starting first year.

    Just dropped another pick.

He’s good but not a franchise changer at this stage. Has the size and arm. Has a few things to work on in year two to prove his worth.

Another strong recruiting class for Mack and some more seasoning for Maye and he’ll be a franchise guy, no doubt in my mind.
Still leads the country in a lot of key categories even with the game plan to stop him the last 3 games.
Size, arm, off script, elusive, can run and makes solid reads for a young guy.

@cmoak1982 You've put a target on his back for me.. Lol I'm gonna start checking him out next season.. I don't trust Mack Brown to develop him though..

That’s fair, I think the kid has the right kind of moxy to handle the target on his back.
He reminds me of a more polished Mahomes in college. Mistakes, but makes plays too. Not elite speed but super elusive and throws off weird arm angles.

    Mack is the wild card

I guarantee you Mack is not coaching a QB.

    Who's their OC? QB coach?

To be fair, I thought Wilson had the same type of physical abilities as far as wiggle and arm. He just seems like he’s stupid as hell.

Maye comes from the right type of background, family full of athletes at big time programs.
