A lot of the posters here struggle to understand what they are seeing when they watch basketball. It leads to some terrible takes.

KPJ and Green started out playing terrible but Jalen caught fire in the 3rd and KPJ yet again let the comeback in the 4th.

Rockets fans are happy about the comeback victory.... most of those whining aren't Rockets fans primarily.

A Fricken men, but they will point out some worthless statistical indicator as an end all....even though we won.

    :)

Chauncey Billups is a great comparison of a Combo guard that made it.

When you're on the opposite side of Bobby, you know you're in the clear.

You have some ground to make up on DD, but you're getting there.

Historically that's hilariously inaccurate... also it's telling that you didn't even attempt to argue against what I just said.

I’m never gonna be okay with only playing Sengun 23 minutes. I don’t understand that. But I have to give Silas some credit for inserting Bruno because it worked. 14 points/7 rebounds/1 steal/1 assist in 13 min. That’s about as efficient as it gets.

I don’t think he’s a great defender, but he is a good rebounder and he seems to use his body well around the rim.

hey it worked last night. I don’t ever want to see Bruno playing in front of Al P though.

    Oops; wrong thread

KPJ had an uneven performance, but he remains the most clutch player on the team, and comes through in big moments. Again many of us feel he’d be much better off the ball, but you definitely want him on the floor when the game is on the line.

In “clutch” situations this season KPJ has a 49.3 TS% and a 0.75 AST/TO ratio. Pretty bad.

But to be fair, our whole team has terrible “clutch” stats.

I knew some fool was gonna find a video of KPJ passing to Sengun as if I meant HE NEVER IN ONE INSTANCE PASSED TO SENGUN lol ya'll are hilarious on here sometimes. Logic and common sense goes right over your head. NO he begrudgingly passes to Sengun, most of the time he gets upset with Sengun or he throws up a contested shot. Thats why people keep acting like Sengun isnt a pick and roll threat and its just that KPJ does not pass most of the time when he's open. Yes SOMETIMES he does but most of the time he misses the open guy and turns the ball over.

Do you have some type of stats to back up the clutch comment I swear it seems like Jalen is more clutch especially the last few games. Seems like when Jalen gets angry its almost an automatic win.

Its only 3 minutes off his average. Silas just doesnt like playing him the minutes he deserves.

The Suns also referred to KPJ as not a point guard. He didnt have 10 turnovers he had 6 and seven assists and missed Sengun mutiple times on open pick and rolls. Thats actually terrible and Im glad the Suns choked and im glad we won and im glad he scored 10 in the last quarter and that doesnt excuse his overall performance. Its so funny when you tell the truth and get called a hater. Thats not what hater means. I dont hate KPJ, and honestly im getting tired of that being the position of every fanboy who doesnt like when you tell the truth about KPJ's game. I said last night that I was worried about Jalens shooting and he shot terribly last night and not one person whined about it lol Im glad he had that big 3rd quarter but he shot badly and needs to get his fg% up. Am I hating on Jalen or am I just telling the damn truth?

It seems last night he was more interested in having the team dig themselves out of the double digit holes they got into when Sengun was in the game rather than being worried about how many minutes Sengun played. Probably a fireable offense.

Sengun fans were actively angry as KPJ and Bruno were leading the team out of that final 16 point hole the starters dug because their hero was on the bench for it and Bruno was showing why he's better for certain matchups.

none of our players are good in clutch. The problem is we don’t have plays that use the other players as second or third threats. And it is really hard to create by yourself when the other team knows you most likely won’t pass the ball. Both green and kpj turn the ball over a lot, which does not help either. At this point it is similar to the our best player discussion, no player stands out. My expectation is green will be much better in the long run.

That video was from last night lol - I didn't have to search at all, there's a whole 'nother thread about it.

I'm not saying you are wrong or right, I just find it ironic around the timing.

The same people were also saying KPJ can't throw lobs because of one bad pass last night.... then KPJ was the mayor of lob city in the 4th with Bruno, so it's kind of hard to take those kinds of people seriously.

Young guys are difficult to gauge. I see a lot of people saying these guys should stick to what they do well.

Problem with that mentality is that they will never grow into better players if they are only allowed to do what they can do well. Rockets fans are used to watching skilled players competing for rings. Not kids still learning the game at the NBA level. Patience isn't something fans are known for.

I do not like KPJ’s attitude. After Wood and KPJ had Jalen in the corner last year and would not pass the ball to him. Now, KPJ is trying to corner out Sengun. I cannot wait to have The Real Scoot on our team. I would trade Silas and KPJ for a second round pick in 2027

I think that's definitely true even when people are operating in good faith....the problem I'm seeing is that there seem to be quite a few player first or player only type fans who do not operate in good faith, they merely look to push narratives scapegoating certain players in a weird effort to prop others up.

You can find a video every game of him passing to him so its not ironic at all. The fact that you dont get that is again, hilarious. You can find highlights of Dwight Howard making 3 point shots, that doesnt make him a great 3 point shooter. You can find highlights of Nix looking like a great point guard. Its only an illusion because they are just HIGHlights.
