[Movie] Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

    Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first trailer and poster for the fifth “Indiana Jones” film which has finally settled on a title – “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”.

    Set in late 1960s New York, the film will somehow tie in with Operation Paperclip (Nazi scientists given amnesty in the US in exchange for their scientific knowledge) and the space race against the Soviet Union.

    Steven Spielberg co-wrote the script for the new entry, which is being directed by James Mangold and will mark 80-year-old Harrison Ford’s final outing as the famed archaeology professor and adventurer.

    Also onboard are Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Antonio Banderas, Shaunette Renee Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, and Toby Jones.

    “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is slated to hit cinemas on June 30th 2023 and will precede a spinoff series also in the works for the Disney+ service.

    "Dial of Destiny" sounds pretty stupid. Should have "focus group"-ed that name.

    This looks like it might be really good. Was pumped when I realized it was Sallah. And, Mads Mikkelsen...suh-weet! Just missing a cocaine tripping bear and we'd have a surefire winner!

    Things I need in an Indiana Jones movie:

    • Sassy hot dame that plays hard to get
    • Indiana on a horse chasing someone or being chased
    • Indiana and crew looking for a mysterious artifact
    • At least 2 Wilhelm Screams, but no more than 4
    • Indiana beating up Nazis
    It's pretty easy not to **** up when you think about it.

    i watched the preview and have zero idea what the movie is about. it was all random action sequences. 80 year old indy running on top of a fast moving train, 80 year old indy riding a horse in a subway tunnel, 80 year old indy riding on a motorcycle.

    and i guess were just supposed to forget that the hat was literally passed on shea lebouf in the last movie? and now he has a daughter, who theoretically should have been alive in the previous movie, but she was never mentioned?
