I hate them so much. I’ve grown bored waiting for the rematch. You hosers blow your wad and watch us play in November, from your couches.

I know "in Crane we trust" but I do not want Bagwell getting too much control of the front office. Also don't want his Brad Ausmus suggestion for GM.

i don’t even care if there is a rematch. I don’t care how they lose, the earlier the better because it’s a bigger failure. So long as we keep winning pennants, showing up on the WS, and winning more than our share, I don’t care whether that involves the dodgers at all.

Love Bagwell. Knowing how the sausage is made does not equip you to run the register, much less price the specials on the board for that day. Again, I love Bagwell, he’s my favorite Astro ever.

He really sounded ridiculous today IMO. We just won the WS but rely too heavily on analyitics????

Reminds me of lawyers who take over law firms and are expected to run the business side, or frequently Doctors who run their own clinics - and many of them screw the pooch. Just cause you know the industry you are in, doesn't mean you know jack sh** about running an operation or how to handle the day to day business aspects.

Way too much nonsense about Bagwell in here. He doesn't want to run the Astros. He would rather be in Cabo right now playing golf. Crane asked Bagwell and Reggie Jackson to attend the baseball ops meeting because in Crane's mind Click was $hitting the bed and wanted differing opinions not just Click's yes men in the room.

Bagwell isn't trying to Jack Easterby the place up. Crane has asked him to have a bigger role until he gets a new GM. It's not like he is running the scouting department.

He also clearly stated "IN HIS OPINION" the team went too analytical.

Also, kinda funny to complain now because after bringing Bagwell and Jackson into the room they won a World Series. Not the prior 2 years when Click had limited push back.

    Relax.

I think we need a great GM hire who uses analytics strongly for the draft and international signings and so forth

When it comes to mlb roster building, when we are talking about signing veteran players, it isn’t as important

So for Crane and Bagwell to call the shots right now is fine, by mid to late January we need the right guy in place

I'd love to see us bring back Yuli and Brantley at this point. On any given day, one of those two, Yordang, or Abreu can DH, plus we can cycle through and keep everyone fresh. Tell me if I'm wrong, but they should be pretty cheap, right?

No way you can bring back both, neither give you any defensive versatility. You can bring one back and be fine, being back both and you really limit yourself

The quotes from Bagwell definitely reek of old man shaking his fist at the sky.
It flies completely against what the Astros did to build their dynasty.
It's painfully obvious that he is the mouthpiece for Crane also.

Bagwell has a Twitter? I’ve never seen it.
I enjoy your posts sometimes… it’s like trying to figure out a NY Times crossword puzzle in under 5 minutes
