Gang, as we continue to b**** about KPJ, Alpi, Silas, Stone whatever....here is where I think we are headed hopefully by the end of this season.

    Starters:

    KPJ - Combo
    Green - Combo
    Jabari - PF
    KMJ - SF
    Sengun - C

KPJ will bring it up - pass it to Sengun at the FT line extended and we will run offense with back door cuts and picks - making both Jalen and KPJ better in efficiency.

Sometimes Sengun will be in the low post, and in the end of the shot clock if nothing is there we will give it to KPJ or Green whomever is more open and let them create a shot.

This is why I am trying to be patient, I can see where we are headed.....just need to relax while KPJ and Jalen lower their turnovers which are 8 a game between the 2 of them...4.3 for KPJ 3.8 for Jalen.....

And we need to start Alpi to let him learn how to beat the better more athletic bigs......

Sprinkle in a little Jabari snipering, and KMJ rim running we have a great starting core.

Oh jeez as if the rotation and drama ain't enough between the only fans. Tate gonna fk up things even more. Hopefully he improves from last season cause it seems like KJM is taking his spot

I am hoping he is traded or if not, he comes off the bench as a backup at many positions. He is not starter material at 6'4" in the NBA at a forward spot.

Just prepare yourself.. Tate will have to play himself out of the rotation 1st cause you know Silas won't make that hard decision.... might take a minute

Yep.. Which is why I'm saying.. We can project lineups and all, but you realistically gotta factor in the coach's lovefest for Tate and KPJ in the equation..

What Silas will do? Cut Jabari or move Jabari to 5 and cut Sengun-Garuba-Bruno?
Silas might want but I am sure the reality will force him to bench Tate.

Thus the patience part of the post, we are all going to have to live through Silas' warts as he reaches the obvious conclusion I posted about in the first post in this thread.

Eh, I agree we should be patient but not because there's some master plan that everything will fit together at the end of the year.

I think there's reasonable potential, depending on the draft and free agency, that 1 or 2 of our most important players going forward aren't even on the team yet.

If we get an immediate star then anything that happened this year will have to bend (or break) to fit around them.

This team is constructed totally different from last year and I can see next year being similar. After next year, we probably won't have the really high draft picks that completely shake up the roster.

The most important thing this year is that our young guys get reps in the positions they will most likely occupy throughout their rockets careers.

No, we are still far away but what we are seeing is some progress along with hitting some 3s.

Making the Playoffs is different than winning a ship.

There is the Grand Canyon of distance.

Why be disrespectful to Tate? He's a good player who will be valuable on a better team. Sheesh man.

DD you just posted in another thread that we suck and that we are years away. I said we are not. Now you start this thread. Seriously.

This team is a good 3-5 years away from doing anything of note

Well yeah, but guys 20-22 years old don't lead teams to rings.

    So so true.

Are we "not far off" or is it "so so true that we are 3-5 years away"?
