Lets play a game with the last 5 drafts

    Lets play a game with the last 5 drafts. Pick one player from each draft. You must pick them in position they play, you also can not pick two players who play the same position and put the extra player in another position. Lets see who comes up with the best line up. I think this could be tough.

    I noticed that the 2020 Draft Class is low key selling.

    Also, Sengun is the best young center in the league.

    This challenge is positional. Can only have Luka at point guard or Morant

    Luke plays point forward - I can't think of the last time he defended the opposition 1 by default?

    Luka's a bit confusing

    NBA.com has him listed as a Forward - Guard

    ESPN has him listed as a Point Guard

    Basketball Reference has him listed as a Point Guard - Shooting Guard

    Obviously, putting him and Morant in the same lineup would produce the best results but I think OP prefers we go for one or the other due to the confusion about his actual position

    Game is more challenging if we can't use a top 3 pick from the 5 drafts.

    PG - Darius Garland, 5th, 2019
    SG - Desmond Bane, 30th, 2020
    SF - Tari Eason, 17th, 2022
    PF - Robert Williams III, 27th, 2018
    C - Alperen Sengun, 16th, 2021

    Playmaking at the 1 and 5. Backcourt can launch 3s and score well. 2 of the best defensive players in the 5 drafts, in Eason and Timelord. Timelord can shore up Sengun's defensive lapses.

    I mean, Luka plus 3 or 4 shooters is more or less the best offensive unit in the NBA by the numbers for the past few seasons so hard to really compete with that.

    Luka
    Bane
    Mathurin
    Grant Williams/Keldon Johnson whatever stretch 4 type you want.
    Mobley

    Alternatively put in Morant for Bane in and put in Zeke Naji or Isaiah Stewart or whatever other big you want who can shoot.

    I don't think you need Zion or Banchero or even Morant if you have Luka
