I was talking about Usman and Bruno why are you mentioning Sengun? Clearly somebody is all absorbed with Sengun and its people like you with the clouded judgement not me.

How irrational is it to always inject Sengun in the conversation even when its between 2 different players?

Why dont you even have some self awareness when you're the ones with irrational hate for Bruno Fernando just cuz of a fake rumor of him starting over Sengun?

The only reason I can see to give Bruno Fernando 15 minutes a game is to get that fiery, intense play out of Sengun. I don't mind him fouling out if he gives total effort. With Garuba and Fernando over there sitting, someone can always bring a spark of energy out of the 5-spot.

By the way, the same could be said for the spate of forwards on this team: Martin, Eason, Smith, and Tate.

For some weird reason, our coaches think the answer is to play small, 3-guard lineups. I prefer to let these forwards and centers play, but only if they run and push the guards to get up the court. Sengun took that one possession end-to-end because no one else seemed ready to go.

For a young team, we walk a lot. 3-guard lineups should never be slow afoot since they purposefully trade out size for shooting and quickness.

    1) The thread is literally about Bruno and Sengun.
    2) The rumor is not fake.
    3) You sound very unhappy, and that's after the Rockets had a great and promising two games. Ask yourself why.

    1. You replied to my post talking about Garuba and Bruno. Somebody asked why Bruno should get mins and I answered. You butted in our discussion and talked about Sengun. You dont even see how delusional that is?

    2. Sengun has been the starter every game since the season started but ok the rumor ismt fake. Any proof of that? In case you missed it Sengun was out with injury when Bruno started.

    3. I'm unhappy cuz people like you are trying to divide the team and cause conflict and discord. If Sengun himself isnt upset with Bruno why d hell are you upset with Bruno? You getting pissed at Silas ans Bruno Fernando on behalf of Sengun is both alarming and stalker behavior. Ask yourself why you are like that. I bet Sengun would be alarmed if he knew about the existence of you people smh.

If u been watching the season like the rest of us, u could tell Garuba provides a lot on defense and does a lot of positive things that aren't just points.

I would b okay if Silas wanted Garuba over bruno/sengun as starting center. He earned it.

    2) is simply not true, you must have missed the start of the season. Also, Sengun wasn't injured on Friday.

    3) No, you are the aggressive one who is attacking other fans and causing conflict.

Ok so how you know Bruno also doesnt provide a lot on defense? He is the same as Garuba but more athletic and it allows him to be a lob threat which Garuba isnt.

If yiu watched the games like the rest of us you'd know Fernando played great when he is healthy and available. I'm not even saying he should start, but to act like he doesnt deserve PT is just a joke esp after tonigh when Garuba had 0 and 2.

Nah im not gonna believe the conspiracy that Silas was personally preventing Sengun from playing by making injuries up.
Im quite confident that Sengun wasn't 100% due to a lingering injury sustained from a nasty fall he had in a game. Was it severe enough to sit out on friday probably not.

I just don't believe that Sengun would sit out for a fake injury, it's more plausible he felt he needed a game off to recover or didn't want to play games b2b.

"KPJ is clearly a core part of this team" - You just proved it yourself how this team prioritizes a lesser player over players like Jalen, Alpi, and Jabari. No other team would allow a player who ranks in the bottom percentile in nearly every efficiency stat regarding shooting and playmaking to dominate the ball so much. Can he become a good player? Maybe, but definitely not in his current role where he is initiating the offense. He needs to be doing way less in an off-ball role and playing off of the talents of Jalen and Alpi.

Nix shouldn't even be rostered on an NBA team and yet here he is getting 10-15 mins of burn every game while we have JC glued to the bench. There is literally no way JC can be worse than Nix.

If it wasn't for Bruno's early season injury, we wouldn't even be seeing Garuba play right now. Think about that... a 1st round pick last season who some teams even had pegged for the lottery for his defensive prowess and yet if not for a random injury, we'd be seeing a 24 year-old Bruno getting all the minutes over Garuba... and Garuba has been one of the most pleasant surprises this season.

I never said anything about KJ Martin and would hope this coaching staff sees to it that he gets consistent minutes. KJ has real value, evidenced by teams like the Suns going after him, and I would hope the Rockets aren't dumb enough to waste it and just let him go. KJ also wasn't some hand-me-down that no one wanted - we paid cash and a second-rd pick to get him.

Think about it this way... if Jalen, Alpi, Jabari, Tari, Usman, or KJ were on the trade market right now, how much would each of them fetch? If you listen to other team's announcers or NBA analysts, it's obvious that they are all pretty well regarded around NBA circles. Then do the same with KPJ, Nix, and Bruno. It's hard to see any team ponying up anything of value for any one of these three.

Bruno doesn’t look taller than Garuba, they look the same height.
Garuba also a much better defender

Bruno has better better chemistry with KPJ. If we get a point and move KPJ more off-ball, Bruno’s role will be pretty much extinct. This team needs a bone fide PG for at least 20 mpg, someone like the Jones brothers. That would hopefully reduce TOs, and as a side effect would reduce Bruno’s minutes quite a bit.

Funny, I had no idea Tre Jones is Tyus Jones' brother. Agree, someone like Tyus Jones who never turns the ball over would be great.

Bruno is just here to remind us old heads of Joey Dorsey.

Sad to say but there isn't much room left for Bruno on this team. I can only see him being used if there's some strange matchup at the center position, otherwise Sengun, Smith and Garuba should be able to share center minutes.

That's certainly one way to look at it - if you had a vested interest in downplaying him.

Guy had 7 points, 3 boards, a block, in 16 minutes after coming off a month of injury and did exactly what people said he would - finished dunks from dives to the rim that no other big man on the roster is able to.

Also, using one game plus/minus at all - especially a role player's - is truly the last refuge of a scoundrel - have a glance at Usman Garuba's statline from last night if you want to look at contextually bad +/- for example. I mean nobody who starts multiple threads about Jalen Green should ever start hammering +/-. It's a silly stat.

Bruno is good as a 3rd or 4th string center, gives us options.

Alpi (obviously) and Garuba (clearly) are both much better.

Bruno is better than Dorsey (who should have played linebacker on a football field). He's fine playing 10 minutes per game as a backup. But the emergence of Garuba and Sengun is threatening his PT.

Oh you don't know how to read +/- within context so we should all ignore it completely and focus on boxscore stats. Because you think we're like you and would be drowned in a sea of ignorance by looking at a +/-. Or worse, we have nefarious intentions to downplay Bruno! Sure.
