Agreed on all points. A 0-0 draw will certainly bring out there "hurr durr, soccer kickball" crowd (as evidenced by a certain someone posting sarcastic tweets above), but getting a point against England was nice. We've now got tabloids reporting that the team wants Gio to play more, but Berhalter is making up injuries to keep Gio on the bench.

Not disputing at all that 0-0 is toxic for casual fans. Hell, it sucked watching it. A 0-0 draw is one of the hardest things to explain to non-soccer fans other than "Yeah, it can happen. It sucks. But we still got a positive result that helps us in the grand scheme of things."
