It's looking very likely St. Mary's makes it inside the top 25 for UH's matchup in 2 weeks.

3 premier top 25 matchups in the next few saturdays. St. Marys, Bama, and @Virgina

Virginia now ranked #5 in AP. Will be tough to beat them in Charlottesville.

should be a better game than their previous matchup where UH blew them out, but their team doesn't worry me much. they still have the same weaknesses. The Bama game will be much more competitive imo. They match up better with UH

Cougars forte is defensive aptitude. The team is extremely well coached, and why the Nation is seeing them as a or “The” top team.

With UH's suffocating defense, if they are shooting a high percentage, it is lights out for most opponents. The current team also has size, both vertical and horizontal. (Big and Tall) They likely won't go undefeated, but will be a tough out in the Tournament.

UH is far beyond the “tough out” label. That’s what they were the last several years and a given at this point. This is a rare team that’s set on the ultimate goal and winning the entire thing at home

UH would be the betting favorite against any team in the country at a neutral site. North Carolina might be a -1.5 in North Carolina currently.

This UH team's only weakness would be a tight whistle.

I sure hope you guys are right. Would absolutely love for the Coogs to win it all which is very, very tough to do as we all know.

NC lost, so the number one spot is open. The Coogs need to take it.

The spot is meaningless. It’s not a big deal to them at all. And they won’t be at that spot all year

It's not meaningless. This is a team capable of grabbing that top spot spot and keeping it. Think about how long PSJ held #1. This team has a chance to not only eclipse that, but win it all. And, don't tell me this doesn't affect recruiting, TV...LEGACY. Yes, we want to be #1 at the end, but it's a statement to grab it early, stay there, and win it all. The new norm is off the charts.

Yes it’s meaningless. There’s a reason why they don’t talk about it at all. KS Instills that mindset. It’s understood they have much bigger goals and that’s their only priorities. Everyone from top to bottom understands rankings are meaningless and it’s for folks on the outside to talk about. They’re not going to stay at #1 all year. Nobody does. Nor do they care.

Yes, we want to be peaking at the end of the year. That's what's most important. And, KS won't say it publicly, but he wouldn't mind keeping it.

KS does say what he wants publicly. He doesn’t hold anything back. And he’s said it over and over and over. Rankings don’t mean anything to him. He’s already said this team will eventually lose. And he’s right
