Sam, I recall you being a high statured attorney up north somewhere. I could be wrong. If someone presented a tumblr internet article from some intern, would you call that 'huge'? What exactly is huge, even if its true?

You mean the employees that created a company that's worth over 40 billion dollars?

    Those employees?

Agree on both points. That doesn’t mean the long term success of the company is worth 44 billion but there are areas that can be improved for certain and it appears Musk is attempting to do just that.

People trying to read method into the madness have not had a good 9 months.

Here's the deal, the billionaire class really are just random dudes who are pretty much equally full of **** as the rest of us.

I mean the last year for silicon valley/tech has been very illuminating in thia regard.

You think Musk gives 2 sh!ts.

This is part of his re-structuring plan. There will be new advertisers and a brand new platform within 2 years.

The surprise penis cake bit with Elon eating just the tip sounds too true to be made up.

Again assuming that there's some MASTER PLAN behind all this when literally every single shred of evidence is that's just a car crash at the **** show (there is a "pivot" literally every tweet) is just some sheeple stuff

Emperor has no clothes - see the naked selfies that he's tweeting of himself

He's got F/U money and doesn't care. He's going to run things the way he's run his other businesses. I've seen the Space X engineers up close and personal. He's alot like Crane, he gives his employees lots of leeway but if you dont perform up to his high standards you're gone. You have to be all in to work for Musk. That's what some current twitter employees are struggling with and most likely wont be around much longer. I mean in today's world is it too much to ask employees to show up at the office everyday?

Buying FU money for Twitter doesn't mean folks on Twitter can't shitpost him overpaying for it.

It's like asking a dog not to bark.

Elon is asking more than just showing up. He wants them to work 60-70 hrs a week along with other Hardcore changes that you normally see for a 50-150 person startup. Yes, it's his company, but if your company had a change in mgmt and totally flipped your work culture with unknown and different performance criteria, you'd probably **** bricks about it as well.

He either made or amplified the issue into a culture war/battleground which is interesting from a hiring and promotional pov.

Not talking about that while shrugging it off as His Right is your right too...

You don't work at Twitter why do feel the need to publicly defend their current HR policy to a total stranger who did not even mention them?

Elon is not going to give you any money - give it up. Or don't. I don't care.

I like seeing businesses run the correct way. I've seen how Space X is being run and their business model is a successful one. One that Musk is going to implement at twitter.

I can ask you the same questions why you feel the way you do about what what Musk is doing? You dont like free enterprise or free speech unless they suit you?

    Agreed

It's also how he's run Tesla and Space X and how he's going to run twitter. Like you said, it's his company do run as he sees fit. His model has been successful and the employees he inherited can either get on board or find another job. It's really that simple. BTW, nowadays a lot of people are working 60/70 hrs per week. It's a job requirement to work for Musk and they're well paid for their time.

Lol so you're just a"business running enthusiast" who likes to publicly defend the HR policy (which again, i didn't bring up) of like a company that at this point employs less people than a regional grocery store chain. And lol at the "business model of Twitter" - he has tweeted out new ones every week!

I guess it is possible in the Bayesian sense that this is possible; the other 99.999x probability is that your another of the voluminous Musketeer fan bros who have a large part of their online ego in declaring victory online via their avatar - for whom it had been, let's say, a bit of a rough patch !

Here's my experience on the small chance that you are a " business running enthusiast " rather than a Muskovite - the genius big brain business people, especially those who actually tell you all the time that they are genius big brain business people (or pay people to do so) generally don't know **** all and like pretty much everyone else, are just free riding off of random chance and others (like most of our universe)

    That's it. You are welcome.

I can see how people working 60/70hrs normalize the hustle culture, but in terms of attracting top talent to make up for lost productivity it doesn't add up to work at Twitter.

I'm guessing key personnel are being offered 1.5x+ bonuses to make sure the lights stay on because they're worth more than their weight in gold and the stock RSUs Elon overpaid for can't be issued again other than as toilet paper for the metaverse.

If you're a "cultural fit" and Elon lover, why not apply for SpaceX or even Tesla instead?

Twitter's management has a tough road ahead of them. I'm sure all backseat commentators who are entrepreneurs or managers are paying attention...

There's a difference between loving how a man runs his business and loving the man. Surely you understand this. It's certainly not uncommon today for people to work 60,70 hrs a week. They do this at Space X/Tesla and will do it at Twitter too.

I dont want to work for Space X because they dont fit my occupation and since I'm not an engineer I would have to take a paycut. I'm an entrepenuer who started with nothing and has been fortunate enough to do very well in my field. BTW, I put in 70-80 hrs (Sometimes more) when I was younger. It's called paying your dues.

I'm a successful entrepenuer who has people who regularly work 60-70 hrs a week. I used to work that much in the field and do another 10-20 hrs a week in the office.

I know this much, whether you like it or not, Musk has been successful in every walk of his working life and after he clears out those in twitter that dont share his vision, I suspect he will find success at twitter too. He's a hard worker who still today works a lot of hrs a day. Rumor has it he only sleeps six hrs a night. He expects others that work for him to work as hard as he does and they do or they're gone. (Very simple)

It may take a couple of yrs to groom the young people that share his vision that will make Twitter successful just like Space X, Tesla are successful.

You didn't answer my questions, 1. Do you believe in working hard and as long as you have too, to successfully complete whatever task is assigned to you? 2. Do you believe in free speech or just speech you agree with?
