I try cycling off coffee every few months, but tea is not caffeinated enough for me to feel the hits. I end up drinking a couple of pitchers worth and sleeping at 2am...

Black coffee with a splash of baileys on Mondays

Just wanted to make sure you knew what you were talking about.

I never got to experience this, he passed when I was very young, but my paternal grandfather, when they were working on the ranch (when they weren't working their other jobs, or the teens weren't in school or playing football), would stop around noon every day, no matter the temperature, for coffee and lunch:

    Build fire on ground
    Spread out coals
    Set grate over coals
Coffee grounds and water in metal coffee pot on grate
When coffee is done, drop 2 small rocks into pot to settle to grounds to the bottom (how this works I dunno)
Drink coffee in 100 degree weather.

Lunch was a stick of "donkey dick" (summer sausage) and some cheddar cheese and some crackers.

My dad got to live that, I'm reeeeaaallly sorry I missed it.

If you can figure out the physics behind it, let me know, but the old-timers apparently swore by it.

I actually watched that whole thing and some of those are hilarious. Well, except around 0:21 because once you see it, you can't unsee it... especially "when the nuts are beginning to fall"
