I certainly preferred the back room decisions and random individual power of old twitter.

I heard a form of that and some in the US can interpret that as no limits on anything as long as they are not spammers (at least to some X degree) or posting child p*rn (well, at least not real child).

With so much of the decision making centralized in one person — what happens to Twitter if he dies? Seems like things could get pretty chaotic.

Depending on the country, breaking the law can mean a lot of things. Fraud (scammers) is illegal in the US (unless your SBF). Harassment is generally addressed in almost all platforms ToS's.

    What else should be 'banned'?

What happens to any private company when the CEO and/or majority shareholder dies?

The shares go to his heirs? Is he a singular person driving all these changes at the company, or there are others who’d carry out whatever his vision is for the platform?

That would be a question you'd have to ask his board of directors. They might answer you if you invested 9 or 10 digits to the company.

Just like any company with private ownership. No one should consider Twitter as a public anything (including a public town square).

It's his company - he gets to do whatever he wants. I don't think the ToS means anything much to him. He will do whatever he wants without any ToS guardrails except if it's illegal to do so. That doesn't mean he won't ban people who didn't spam or didn't do anything illegal under US laws. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if he bans someone next month after a "poll".

I think its safe to say that if you're not acting like an *******, you're probably safe. Those who act in a civil manner are not going to get the ban hammer.

That said, this is the Lords words himself.

And he paid peak market price for all that entitlement, bloat, and inefficiency.

It's truly impressive how he timed the market.

He didn't pay peak market price. He paid a premium. How else do you think he accomplished his hostile take over?

Musk has a vision where he wants to take this. Whether he will succeed, I don't know. But all the people hung up on the valuation he paid clearly don't understand the potential of being a visionary entrepreneur.

I think your unconditional love for Elon is sweet....

But he paid peak price, he tried to get out of it, and Twitter was more than happy to sell to Elon at $44 billion.

The fact that Elon and his acolytes have to be smug that the company hasn't gone up in flames in the matter of weeks is pretty telling.....

While Elon has been on his little Twitter kick TSLA stock has lost almost 40 bucks a share the last month.
