Hey I like what Rollie Pollie said....and that was a good show. Either way, it isn't going to happen, I just don't believe we have a "HIM" on this team yet. DD
I don’t think Green and KPJ are equal in upside, but I do think people are undervaluing how good KPJ is because he’s playing out of position. Both of their upsides are massive in my opinion. My biggest concern is that we may not be maximizing their development. And I agree that we probably won’t because they both play the same position. If they could completely buy into the team concept in theory there could be enough minutes for both, but one would probably have to play the 6th man role and play some minutes out of position. It’s pretty obvious that neither can run the floor effectively. I don’t think the current situation is a good one, but I also think they both need as many minutes on the court as possible. I don’t disagree that Green has the higher upside, but right now KPJ is the better player, and on a low-risk contract. The best thing for the rockets would be to try to make it work with both of them. Contending teams have a starting caliber 6th man. Eventually KPJ is going to have to accept that role or this won’t work. Especially if Eason continues to develop into a Kwahi-like player at the 3 spot.
You don't trade young players with star potential away for junk simply because you are worried about how many wins a bunch of 19 and 20 years will end up with.
Hey, it's a contrarian post to whatever has been posted here. The obvious thing folks forgot is that KPJ treat the Rockets as his savior both in terms of career and mental health issue. I think he would do the Rockets a favor if they ever decide to part ways.
I totally understand if people don't want or can't wait for another 4-5 years. We are all human beings and our lifespan is limited to a certain number of rebuilds. Do as you please but do try to understand those that can wait.
I know you don't like him and are worried about his youthful outbursts. Man, if we were all held accountable for what we did at 19.....sheesh ! See, that is exactly right it will be 4 or 5 more years.....don't fall for the we will try to win next year BS, this is YEARS away. DD
Well, if you actually read between the lines, you would know that I answered him and basically suggested Kevin would be here to stay for years. But it's a professional league and welcomes and goodbyes are on the menu. I have no problem separating my own opinion from what's happening behind the scene. Hence, not falling for your traps pigeonholing me somewhere I do not belong. He might not be my favorite but he is still a good player which I said on some occasions. I was a good student/padawan at age 18-19.
