There should be an IQ test for people running for office as well. Somehow I doubt Walker or Boebert would pass.
They should just give them the citizenship test that folks have to pass in order to gain American citizenship.

I'm going to say it now. The Biden admin and Dems going hard on banning semiautomatic rifles is going to have similar effect like the overturning of Roe vs Wade but for Dems. I don't think we should go there. Maybe I'm just knee deep in circles of people who are vehemently against this to the point I'm confident they will commit some sort of violence where I don't think a ban will go well.
Is Joe Biden aware that nearly all privately owned firearms are semi-automatic or have a similar effect (in the case of dual-action revolvers). Sure, there are bolt action rifles, pump shotguns, and even a few double barrels or single shots around, but a ban on semi-automatic firearms is just shy of a total gun ban.
Yes this is stupid and this is going to be the Dems version of the abortion issue debacle for the GOP in the mid terms. There are actually some YouTube channels like Garand Thumb I enjoy watching because I like the content from a engineering standpoint and fasciation of firearms. But I know because of Biden his channel is going to get a lot more political and that is going to rile up a large section of apolitical voters increasing turnout.
I would be in favor of a ban, but I don’t think it’s possible. Too many Americans are in love with their guns. I think it would be better to focus on age limits and background checks etc. The USA is absolutely gun crazy and there is no turning back unless a large majority of the population is in favor. Yes, the abortion issue hurts the Republicans, and a proposed gun ban would probably hurt the Dems.
