Agreed. I wish everyone had applied this approach to the DePape/Pelosi situation. Good to wait for all the facts to come out.
Bottomline no matter what the motive ends up being this was still a horrible tragedy upon a community that has suffered from bias and ongoing negative rhetoric.
I can't speak for everyone but yes there is questions in the DePape situation. Making it out though as though it was a gay tryst or that Pelosi invited DePape in though isn't waiting for the facts to come out. That is also speculation based on imcomplete information.
Once more, we are in agreement. Sharing various tweets/news reports as a situation develops isn't "making it out as though", however.
That depends what is the point of sharing those tweets? Is it something you agree with? Anyone can ask any question or raise any theory. This is one of the reasons why I never joined Twitter. There is so much floating out there that you can find anyone taking any position on anything. I see no value then in just posting tweets because they seem like a hot take.
Another day, another 6 dead in a mass shooting in a Walmart break room in Virginia. https://www.cnn.com/2022/11/22/us/chesapeake-virginia-walmart-shooting/index.html Republicans will offer thoughts and prayers, yet defend gun freedom, and the slaughters will continue. This is the country where mass shootings mean freedom in their wicked blood money souls.
There is no point in withholding information just because it doesn't fit a particular narrative. And when people are prematurely dead set on a particular narrative, I enjoy providing an alternative perspective.
Speaking for myself. I honestly believe that ATW doesn't wish death upon those people in CO Springs. I have expressed disagreement with some of his rhetoric regarding the fear of LGBTQ material in schools and yes I think such rhetoric has added to the ongoing bias that LGBTQ people experience.
Do you post every piece of info you come across? Why not post that Paul Pelosi is really an Alien and that DePape was trying to stop the takeover of humanity. That would be an "Alternative Perspective" that I'm sure someone has tweeted about.
So apparently alternate perspectives aren't actually welcome. Frankly a lot of the tweets I've seen about not just the Paul Pelosi situation but many others appear to be making **** up.
They might just not conform to your bias. Doesn't mean they don't exist. You, on the other hand, completely made up **** which doesn't exist and claimed it does exist. Bit of a difference. That's not an alternate perspective. It's just **** you made up.
Anyway this has been a derail and should've kept it in the other thread. No I gave a rhetorical example in regard to why "alternative perspectives" may not be of value. I never claimed that alternative perspectives don't exist whether they conform to my biases or not. Anyway I could go on twitter and make a tweet that Paul Pelosi was an alien. That would then exist but the mere existence of a statement doesn't make it more relevant or substantive.
You could also make up irrelevant hypotheticals on Clutchfans all day...oh wait...that's actually what you are doing.
