I saw the LGBTQ night club shooting and was worried if a poster from here like ATW was involved. Some people's obsessions with trans folks and "gay agenda" really make me concerned. We literally know nothing about these people on the other end like ATW while they are addicted to spamming hate content. Like how the hell do we know the person on the other end isn't a couple of steps removed from doing this sort of thing?
It's not so random and that's why it did get coverage and continues to have some coverage. But yes, Americans have gotten used to AR15 slaughtering multiple people on random days of the week, multiple times per month.
I wouldn't say this is random. This is a dude fueled by hatred from content he was consumed in for years. Probably railing against the gay agenda and "groomers" the whole time. You see more and more of this as more of those 10-20 year old teenage boys who have been terminally online addicted to "anti-woke" content on YouTube and other social media places grow up and become more deranged. I'm confident "gamergate" has created potentially dozens of future mass shooters.
In fairness it was the shooter's grandfather who said those things. That doesn't mean the grandson has the same.
We have a christian domestic terrorist situation on our hands. It's interesting in a sick disappointing way that fox news and 'the right' for last 20+ years going on and on about Muslims ( code word for brown like when they say illegal aliens err brown hispanics) and we were told that there was 200 sleeper terrorist cells (repugs always with the fear) ready to go to attack usa. We invaded several countries over this and tons of deaths, war etc. all while breeding hundreds of thousands of domestic terror cells. repugs always projecting I took a break from cf and I must say the scary part is there are tons of the people on nextdoor, twitter etc. like this..It's alarming. Whatever deprogramming we were looking at for the Muslims and similar we might wanna look inward. Of course with an indoctrination network like fox weaponizing ignorance the short answer is we are f*cked
I get what you guys are saying. I guess I mean random as in it could be any random Jewish/Christian/Muslim/elementary/highschool/university/concert goers/movie theater patron/gay/trans/grocery shopper randoms if you are someone a loser out there somewhere will hate that group with ample access to guns. Can come to a random location with that type of person there and target that said group and youre the random segment of the said group that gets killed. Anyways ill check back in this thread for the next one with a little sarcasm mixed with sadness. Everyone have a nice Thanksgiving!
https://l.smartnews.com/pyhfs/OCQwcE LGBTQ bar shooter is the grandson of a MAGA lawmaker who supported January 6 insurrection No surprise there. Right wing hate is toxic. MAGA mob, Trump, MTG, DeSantis, and all the other Republicans inciting right wing hate, and pushing right wing laws are toxic for this country.
It's a shame more people can't just butt their nose out of everyone else's lives and quit spreading hate towards people they feel superior to.
It is telling that you there seem to be several many who care more about whether Paul Pelosi was having a gay tryst than what happened in CO Springs. Apparently a mass shooting of gay and trans people isn’t as concerning as whether the husband of the retiring speaker of the house and SFPD were involved in a bizarre coverup.
Paul Pelosi is a well-known person (husband of the Speaker of the House). People talk more about Taylor Swift concert tickets than either, but that isn't because they are more important, it is because more people know who Taylor Swift is. I couldn't tell you the name of one person that was killed in Colorado Springs. Why do people care more about the LGBT shooting that the 183 people that have been murdered in St. Louis so far (or as of Oct 25) this year? That's 16 x Uvalde or 36 times the Colorado Springs shooting. Why don't people talk about the five people killed by the serial killer in Stockton, CA? People care about sensationalism and whatever gets coverage. Same as it ever was.
