Green has that passive soft Zach Lavine gene.
He needs to be more aggressive. This goes back to his high school days.

Regardless of the outcome, I enjoyed this game. Other than Green, so many played well. Bari showed signs of becoming comfortable. Tari continued with positive chaos. Most importantly, KPJ in my opinion, played his best game as a Rocket. If not for other worldly shooting and an off night for JG, they would have got the W. Looking foward to the next gm. Hopefully they follow it up.

you're not doing this right. you have to call for Silas to be fired and for Sengun to play 48 minutes

Do you mean offensively? Defensively he was pretty bad.

generation Z does not care about D, so like whole NBA. Roosh explained beautifully yesterday how terrible the whole team's D is.

Bad on D? Because he couldn't stop the splash brigade? They were on. Nobody could've. Reason why they're 4 time champs. He was very active this game. 2 steals and a block. Solid effort.

He's disappointed so far, but he looked like a different player vs GS. Personally, I still question the fit with Green and what to do about it, but I'm excited for Friday's game and how he follow it up?

Not sure where you read that. You can look at my post history, you are preaching to the choir here. I am very clear as to where Real Madrid stands in the global hierarchy, and I am not talking only about sports. No NBA franchise has those tentacles.

This is messed up. Most teams have at least one game from Mon-Wed. The good news Green can heal the shoulder and Sengun the groin.

You would know more about the Grizz defense than me bro. Usman Garuba is a solid defender despite not having a vertical and being fairly short. Tari is solid with good length and ditto for Jabari. Jalen has improved, KPJ’S defense has regressed in my opinion. Why is Matthews ahead of JC despite being the worst defender on the team?

I actually missed the game live, and watched a replay. That's why I paid much more attention than usual to our defense. And I was quite surprised at how bad our guards' defense is since this is not a point of discussion a lot. Sure, the gsw offense is not the easiest to defend but a lot of the mistakes are unforced, not executing the switch correctly, not fighting the screen correctly, lack of focus, not staying with your man etc.

You can see all offensive possesions of Klay here:

I watched it a day later. Pause and re-play all game. Green had a bad game. KPJ played smart, much more controlled and efficient. He was moving it and iso'ing here and there. Wasn't trying to do too much. Don't recall any of the usual 1 on 4 ish. Have no idea if he follows it up, but for that game he looked the part of what most had hoped. Night and Day difference. We'll see...

Garuba: I owe an apology. I didn't expect him to do this well. I wanted us to draft
him or Kai Jones.....Garuba was 5 or 7 from 3 at one point. Where I don't have him
as Draymond; I do like his potential to be a 3-point shooting Looney or Robert Williams.

Jalen and Green would be better in switch everything defense.... unfortunately Sengun
forces them into a poor situation with his "Drop Coverage" Last year Wood could hedge
the corner in PnR. Theis does even a better job than Sengun.

If Sengun hedges the corner he gets beat to the rim badly. If Sengun plays back
in Drop Coverage he still gets beat going back to the rim. This is why our guards
have to go under the screen (to cut the ball handler off at the pass...or try at least).
If Green or KPj go over the top of the screen it becomes two vs Sengun defending
the paint by himself. Might as well be no one defending the paint. --see diagram below--

No guards in the NBA can keep other guards from getting by them. Green and KPj
can't stop others and others can't stop Green and KPj. It's packing the paint enough
with secondary defenders that make Green and KPj hesitate enough for a pest
like Alvarado to pick their pockets from the side or from behind.

Tari and Jabari are good. Takes most vets a month to get accustomed to their
new coach (Lionel Hollins)....nevermind rookies. This is why I'm patient
with Silas. We had the schedule nobody wants with most of those games
on the road. The rooks are just getting use to the speed of the game.
Soon they will hit the rookie wall at about 30 games into the season.
New coach will set the team back a month as the vets and rooks
    will have to get readjusted......again.

JC was suppose to be more of a facilitator coming into this season.
Unfortunately he became a drive and score only player. Nobody
needs to guard anyone else in that situation. Mathews was finally
shelved with exception of Pacers game; which KPj missed.
EG and Mathews are meant to create spacing. Our defense takes
a hit since EG looks like he has no interest, plus he doesn't rebound
and block shots much....not like a real SF.

    ......................KPj or Green
( G4 / KPj go over the top of screen and Sengun drops back)

We end up rotating off of 3-pt shooters and we get killed by the 3.
Just like last night vs the Warriors. This is why I say Sengun is
not good vs most of these playoff teams as they have good
3-pt shooters.....and will burn drop coverage.

The Rox are still only 8 games behind Phoenix and the 1st seed.

You do know Green is top 10 in NBA history in ppg for a 20 year old right?

If you think he has a similar mindset to Lavine, okay. That doesn't really matter when you look at what Lavine was doing at 20. He had no where near the handles and ability to create off it that Green has at 20. You didn't see Lavine at 20 manipulating screens with a live dribble in a pnr play.

rockets would have won the game but for klay who looked revived somehow, scoring 40+ with stephen dishing out assists for fun. klay used to be elite 3d but he has seldom played great since coming back from knee injury.
