Great highlights but it needs to include Gm 5 bottom 8th 1st and 3rd one out and the biggest strikeout of Pressly's career to keep the score at 3-2. What a pitch that was.
Thanksgiving less than a week. I'm headed back to H-Town tomorrow to see my kids and family. Just wanted to remind everyone the Astros are World Champions AGAIN. Lots to be thankful for in life. But wanted to tell all you guys and gals we can all agree on being thankful for Clutch giving us a place to cheer together and debate greatness and failure like these Astros. Be safe all and enjoy. Now GM Crane get us and early Christmas gift please!
my good man, this is just what I needed. I got covid for the first time. Mild symptoms but dying of boredom quarantining in extra bedroom. These highlight packages never ever get old.
I finally received one of my championship items I purchased online lol.... Polo shirt just arrived. Still waiting on my hat.... In the mean time I saw images of stores having Astros championship gear at 50% off in Houston now.
Keep looking, stuff and deals will be available for a while, Dick's had an online 50% off sale last week.
I hit up dicks today in CTX and saw all the championship stuff on 50% off. Bought a few shirts. Finally got that one with the names in the back and the trophy, they were pulling all of those out of boxes when I showed up.
With the Astros success the past 6 seasons, and multiple World Series wins this may be unbelievable or forgotten. The following Astros (or former Astros) players just won their FIRST career World Series ring. Martin Maldonado, Jeremy Pena, Michael Brantley, Chas McCormick, Yordan Alvarez, Kyle Tucker, Aledmys Diaz, Mauricio Dubon, Trey Mancini, Jake Meyers, Jose Siri, Jason Castro, J J. Matijevic, Nikko Goodrum, David Hensley, Korey Lee, Yainer Diaz, Joe Perez, Taylor Jones. Framber Valdez, Jose Urquidy, Luis Garcia, Cristian Javier, Jake Odorizzi, Ryan Pressly, Rafael Montero, Phil Maton, Hector Neris, Bryan Abreu, Ryne Stanek, Hunter Brown, Blake Taylor, Brandon Bielak, Parker Mushinski, Seth Martinez, Ronel Blanco, Enoli Paredes.
So the question now becomes how many Astros were not on either championship team? Cole obviously comes to mind. Straw, definitely 3 or 4 catchers, a half dozen relief pitchers I assume (Osuna being the most prominent). A couple of more starters.
Brady Rogers (2016 and 2019) Tim Federowicz (2018) Dean Deetz (2018) Garrit Cole (2018-2019) Hector Rondon (2018-2019) Roberto Osuna (2018-2020) Cionel Perez (2018-2020) Miles Straw (2018-2021)** All 4 years in between Joe Smith (2018-2021)** All 4 years in between Robinson Chirinos (2019) Rogelio Armenteros (2019) Corbin Martin (2019) Aaron Sanchez (2019) Wade Miley (2019) Joe Biagini (2019-2020) Jack Mayfield (2019-2020) Cy Sneed (2019-2020) Garrett Stubs (2019-2021) Zack Greinke (2019-2021) Abraham Toro (2019-2021) Brandon Bailey (2020) Humberto Castellanos (2020) Chase De Jong (2020) Dustin Garneau (2020) Carlos Sanabria (2020) Brooks Raley (2020-2021) Nivaldo Rodriguez (2020-2021) Andre Scrubb (2020-2021) Ralph Garza (2021) Austin Pruitt (2021) Ronnie Dawson (2021) Alex De Goti (2021) Kent Emanuel (2021) Robel Garcia (2021) Yimi Garcia (2021) Ralph Garza (2021) Kendall Graveman (2021) Ryan Hartman (2021) Tyler Ivey (2021) Peter Solomon (2021) Jacob Wilson (2021)
How could I forget Greinke? Rondon, Toro, Smith the 3 most significant on that list after Greinke. 80% of the rest of that list I wouldn't consider as missing out because they didn't participate enough. Graveman and Miley for the 1 year that they were here. I don't remember half those people you listed in 2021 only season. Doesn't seem possible we had that much roster turnover. .
