This is long overdue. Garland should've named one last year.

I don't care what that loser says, it is high time he faced the music, the Republicans ****ED this country by not doing their job and impeaching him when they had the chance because they are a party of cowards, and didn't want to lose that STUPID money coming into their campaigns.

The GOP has become the party of grift and ****ery.

has any American had more DoJ manpower/money dedicated to investigating them than Donald Trump?

gotta be approaching $100M at this point

special prosecutor will stay open for the next two years as a vehicle for illegal anonymous leaks trashing Trump to the WaPo/NYT to damage him

exact same playbook they used with the Mueller investigation

The Mueller investigation didn't cost much when forfeiture of assets is factored in.

Also, the DOJ spent around 70 million investigating the Clinton's which is close to 100 million in today's dollars.

Agreed, if you guys could choose less criminals as your representatives, it would really be appreciated.

Tired of my tax dollars having to police the corruption on the right.

Hopefully he’s the last president that tries to subvert democracy and steals top secret documents.

Dude seems like a badass. Let’s go Jack. If the trumpers threaten you, just go back to The Hague. They’ll never find you since republicans are afraid of places that aren’t red states.

Pence suggests DOJ didn’t try hard enough to get documents from Mar-a-Lago before search

    https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brie...-get-documents-from-mar-a-lago-before-search/

    excerpt:

Former Vice President Mike Pence suggested that the Justice Department (DOJ) did not try hard enough to obtain the classified and sensitive documents that were taken to former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence before executing search warrant at the property earlier this year.

Pence told host Chuck Todd in an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday that “there had to be many other ways to resolve those issues” and collect the missing documents.

"I've not hesitated to criticize the president when I think he was wrong. And clearly, possessing classified documents in an unprotected area is not proper," Pence said.

"But I have to tell you, I was on the judiciary committee for ten years in the House of Representatives. I know how the Justice Department works. And there had to be many other ways to resolve those issues and—collect those classified documents."

“They didn't try everything. And I have to tell you, going to the last resort of executing a search warrant against a former president of the United States I think sent the wrong message. It was a divisive message in this country,” he continued.

Nope. Trump was given preferential lenient treatment. He was asked nicely, he was given a subpoena, he was visited and asked again.

Nobody on this bbs would be given thoae chances to do the right thing. The DOJ acted properly.

Pence is also one of the worst people have as spokesperson on this issue.

they tried for a year. trump got treated very respectfully by the justice department and was given a lot more time than anyone else would have been given.

pence is full of it and he has no proof of his claim other than saying to just believe him. he doesnt know what they did or didnt do. he is a private citizen.

the question i have is pence really so delusional and stupid to think that he has a chance of winning the republican primary or getting elected president? to the trumpers he is the ultimate traitor and to normal decent americans he is too closely associated with trump.
