Not necessarily. There's a few factors to consider. 1) How his health and acuity are holding up 2) Is Trump going to be the Republican nominee 3) Are there any good alternative Democratic candidates 4) How can the Democrats nominate someone else without it being a total shitshow
For sure. Good points. I just think it will turn voters off knowing they'd be voting for an 82 year old. Wouldn't it be wild if Trump was the candidate? Talk about alienating young voters.... I'm 35 and I think the candidate choices have been terrible lately, and already feel alienated by Washington. I can't imagine how a 22 year old feels. Hope they have strong VP picks. We're setting ourselves up to have a high percentage chance of turning over the presidency mid term.
Kamala is practically a liability for Biden now. Trump has pretty much ran off every single electable/sane Republican who would want to be his VP. The race to the bottom will be entertaining!
It’s Joe Biden’s decision if he wants to run again. I don’t think other Democrats can force him out. so far he’s said he’s going to and Trump running again likely convinced him to run again.
If Biden retires you can bet your ass there will be serious non-democratic forces out in full bore trying to basically anoint/appoint someone in his stead. I'd imagine the same will transpire for Republicans, whereas they learned their lesson from 2016 that having 19 standard issue chamber of commerce Republicans vs. 1 insane gameshow host means the outlier will win every time. If Trump has a to endure a serious primary, it will be probably from 1 or 2 people and those folks will be decided behind closed doors.
If he runs, others can try to primary him but they don't stand much of a chance. Power of the incumbent. Effectively it’s his choice along with how he hold up physically and mentally (he’s likely going to be just fine). If I’m betting, he’s going to run - 70/30.

That's a fun topic. Who has a weaker bench? Republicans or Democrats? I think it's Democrats, but not by much. After Desantis, things get desperate for Republicans very quickly.
I agree. Another interesting topic is Andrew Yang. He says they will have enough signatures to be on most ballots (if not all). What does his party do to the race, if anything? I doubt it's anything, and they need to start now if they're going to make any noise at all, but it's what the country needs.
Yang/Forward Party has no intention (or track record) of running candidates in races where a 3rd party could "throw" the race one way or another. They run candidates in races that are typically one-sided or abandoned by the opposition party. Examples of this are Evan McMullin (a moderate conservative meant to combat an extremist in a deep R state) and Adam Frisch (a moderate liberal running in what was assumed a hopelessly R district). There will be no meaningful 3rd party candidate for President besides the token Libertarian again. Edit: Going further, Forward Party is actually non-partisan so it's mostly comprised of Ds and Rs anyway.
