    I'm in the "there may be more to this story" camp but so far it very much looks like a case of government overreach gone amok.

    I just did the math and the park in my neighborhood where the kids go to play is a little over half a mile from my house.

    It's 12 minutes if you're a slow poke. Slightly further than this woman made her kid walk.

    This is insanity. Especially in a place like suburban Texas.

    unless that kid also had bruises all over his body or looked incredibly malnourished, this is absolutely ridiculous

    STEUBENVILLE, OH—In an effort to achieve a fair resolution to the couple’s divorce, Jefferson County Judge Thomas Atcherson decided on a custody agreement this week that designated Wednesdays for local boy Tyler Cardell to wander around entirely on his own. “Tyler will stay with his mother Sunday through Tuesday, while the father will take the child Thursday through Saturday, leaving an extra day in the middle of the week when he will roam the streets by himself,” said Atcherson, who described the arrangement as the best way to ensure the legally separated parents received an equal number of days with their 8-year-old every week. “On Wednesdays, the mother will drop the child off on the corner or at a place of his choosing, and then his father will coordinate with Tyler on what time to pick him up from wherever he ends up the next morning. It’s important to respect everyone’s time with the boy, whether it’s the parents or the complete strangers he meets while drifting around town.” At press time, both parents were reportedly contesting the arrangement in the hopes of having more days for their child to wander around unattended.

    When my daughter was 6 she wanted to visit a friend 2 blocks away. I stood on my sidewalk and watched her walk down. the constable who patrols the neighborhood pulls up next to her to ask her why she is walking alone. So I started to walk up. But my neighbor who was closer came out and yelled at the cop, scolding him for talking to 6 year olds without a parent with her. So he left.

    You would think these dumb asses would write original female characters for original films like they did back then with Terminator and Alien but nope. Just gender swap and make the content as woke and absurd as possible and call it a day. Once they realize no one wants to watch their crap they are probably going to start making every character trans...

    I'm thinking eventually some women will start to get it and start turning down roles that associate them with awful trash woke movies. I can't think of one of these Marvel films moving forward the career of any of them. Its not that people are racists or misogynistic, its that the films they are making are absolute trash. When are they remaking Rocky but with a girl boxer? Oh they did but it was original and really good with a serious actress . Back when they took pride in films.
