I'm more worried about the fact that the GOP base chose Trump out of 17 other candidates. His shtick of not respecting the basic dignity of those who don't support him as president, his disregard for any election results that don't benefit him(he even b****es that the GOP primaries we're rigged), his pandering about "law and order" rhetoric wanting to mass arrest protestors, his culture wars rhetoric. All that is what the GOP base wanted and I'm scared because of that.

Trump is a rough ride. I get that. Not my favorite quality about him. He is a fighter.

He was wanting to arrest protesters who were destroying both public and private property. Culture wars... rhetoric? It's very real and he has only stood up to the fight.

Maybe you lack self-awareness to the fact that you might have fascist tendencies too?

No, Trump wanted to mass arrest protestors. Areesting people doing property damage is done regardless of who's president. He wanted to arrest protestors.

He literally pushed out a crowd of protestors in DC 30 minutes before curfew schedule where an international incident happened in the process where a Australian reporter was beat to the ground by riot police while forcing out the protestors with tear gas and for what?

So Donald Trump could walk up to a church and hold a bible up and say "this is a Bible".

Fascism is the belief that "blood and soil" should be defended at all cost at the expense of individual liberty and democracy.

"Blood" is the ethnic/religious traditional values of a nation and "soil" is the nationalistic pride.

Trump in a sense isn't ideological in the sense he cares about those concepts. What he is a master of his pander to those who do believe in those values at all costs.

So things like trying to enforce school curriculums that white wash American history. That is also a core concept of fascism. A nation's history turning into a mythic fable that dare not be criticized. Another aspect of fascism is simple solutions to complex problems. I'm not sure you are familiar with "the Watchman" from Alan Moore but he tackles this concept. The fantasy of "solving crime" by beating the **** out of criminals, Morality having a clear black and white dividing line.. so on and so forth.

These are all aspects of fascism that Trump's base all express and you seen to express them also.

When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross

Also another sign of fascism knocking on door steps is when the ethnic and religious entity of a nation that has the cultural hegemony believe they are being oppressed. You saw this in Nazi Germany clearly in regards to the belief that Aryans are being diluted and their values are being suppressed in Weimar Germany.

You see that here in spades. Just watch a Tucker Carlson segment.

@giddyup: @fchowd0311 thinks that everyone who doesn't agree with him is a fascist. He read some article about the Weimar Republic and now considers himself an expert on fascism. A lot of it is just naive projection by someone who is clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed. So I usually let it slide.

Mitt Romney isn't a fascist. Liz Cheney isn't a fascist. Bandwagoner, Duncan Mcdonutes etc are not fascists.

You are though. And DeSantis is willing to pander to people like you so he is willing to express fascist rhetoric.

You are late to the game. That stuff has been in place for more than half a century. It was likewise enforced by Clinton, Obama, Bush et al long before Trump came on the scene.

I'm not sure where you get your info!

You have people storming the capital and believing the election was stolen. You have people making up crazy conspiracy theories about their opponents. That's not punching back.

I love how MAGA fans on here just keep on assuming people are complete morons who can’t see straight. Either that or they are pathetic lonely people in need of attention any way they can get it.

I imagine if I get lonely enough I could always go to
“The Donald” Reddit page and just randomly tell posters there that I believe Biden should federalize all C-corp Fortune 500 companies or that Biden should make all children attend trans awareness classes 5 times a week.

I mean that’s how trolling their arguments are here. You guys need to get laid or something.

Doesn't take a MAGA fan (I don't know if there is even one among active posters here) to very quickly realize that you are, indeed, a complete moron.

I love how you guys like to make up these little biographies about what the lives of others is like.

Gotta give it to you: getting laid is a good idea-- maybe the only one you've had!

Are you talking about the never-went-anywhere-but-was-very-effective-at-election-time whole Trump-Russia collusion fantasy.... or the Biden Family criminal ring WRT China and Ukraine both?!

Seems this thread has gotten off topic.

    Time to reset.

Mr Pelosi should be allowed to frequent gay bars with out one of his crazy dates showing up at his house with a hammer...just like a woman should be allowed to wear whatever she wants without being assaulted.
