People just get caught up watching the boxscore. If they actually watch the game they can clearly see the impact.
To add, Green is averaging 24 points on 50/39/90 as well in these 4 games as well, so overall very touch and possession efficient.
Maybe KPj and Jabari should switch roles and have KPj sit in the corner and Jabari running sets with Green/Sengun and see what happens.
how can anyone with westbrick lookalike face be a good player and fit on any team? you just cant! god gave him that face for a reason its a hint from the universe
I understand that at times (which are many), KPJ is painful to watch. That said, at 22, it's still too early to say he "won't fit". You don't know what he will be at 25, and that's the truer metric of determining whether or not he fits.
Having really zeroed in on KPJ's play recently, his main problem is the fact that he can't buy a bucket from 10 feet or closer - mid range or at the rim. He's shooting a career low .447 from 2. Yeah, he takes a few bad ones, but the lions share one would consider good shots off the pick and roll or some other action getting him into the lane ... If he was hitting on a high percentage of those two point shots in the mid range and at the rim, there wouldn't be so damn many empty possessions. Those are shots that are designed into the offense and that he has to take .... and make. It's ugly to watch him struggle ... and you can see the frustration on his part.
The numbers are essentially the same year to year. Slight drop in shooting metrics from the field .... 2pt%, 3pt% & EFG% all taking a drop while his FT% has gone back to his career average after dropping last season, rebounding numbers are up along with steal% and block%. Assist% has gone down 3.9% and the turnover rate gone up by 0.1% while the usage rate has gone up 2.3%, ideally, you'd like to see all those numbers move in the opposite direction. I think everyone knows I'm no KPJ apologist, I've been a critic of the statistics in the past .... but I think we have to look at everything with some context. It's early in the season and they have played a brutal schedule thus far, playing only 2 of their 15 games against teams .500 or worse - 13 games against playoff teams, those teams play good defense. I suspect once the schedule balances out, some of these offensive metrics will improve.
He has to learn that by passing the ball more and at the correct moment, it will make it easier on his ability to score inside as defenses have to stay honest and can't collapse so quickly on his drives.
He thinks he is the most clutch player on the court lol. That’s such a westbrick characteristic and never learn from the mistakes make. That’s why he won’t ever be a serviceable one for a contender team. Poor man’s westbrick
