Not sure if this means she also won't seek re-election to her House seat but it wouldn't surprise me.

Certainly Nancy Pelosi was polarizing politically though she was far more successful than the string of Republican speakers and minority leaders. She's been more successful than Gingrich, Hastert, Boehnor, Ryan, and I'm sure I'm missing someone there.

She was great but the Dems need new blood, so this is good. She should be honored by her peers for 20 years of service, she did some great things but as with any politician it`s time to move on and let someone else handle it. Schiff is not running either so more new blood......lets pick the right team to precede these 2

She was a political animal. She absolutely was effective at her job. I dislike much of what she did as far as lying and being dishonest.

Kevin McCarthy Should Follow Through On His Promise To Kick Dems Off Congressional Committees

    https://thefederalist.com/2022/11/17/kevin-mccarthy-should-follow-through-on-his-promise-to-kick-dems-off-congressional-committees/

    excerpt:

In any event, McCarthy has promised to return the favor. Pelosi, who stepped down from leadership today, escalated partisan warfare and Republicans have no reason to unilaterally disarm. Pick two House members and deny them a committee assignment, even if it’s symbolic.

A good place to start, as McCarthy has already promised, is denying the bigot Ilhan Omar, whose juvenile understanding of foreign policy (she believes the U.S. is a terror regime) makes her morally and philosophically unfit to serve on the Foreign Relations Committee. Eric Swalwell works, as well. Now, I’m not saying anyone who falls for a ChiCom honeypot is a pathetic mark unfit to serve in any office, I’m just saying that the last place this pathetic mark should serve is the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

I don't think anything Omar said in that link regarding US foreign policy is untrue:

Ilhan Omar defends comments comparing Israel, US to Hamas, Taliban - The Jerusalem Post (jpost.com)

"We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban."

    Yes, objectively true.

And then, when people flip out, she clarifies: “I was in no way equating terrorist organizations with democratic countries with well-established judicial systems.”

    From article:

“We welcome the clarification by Congresswoman Omar that there is no moral equivalency between the US and Israel, and Hamas and the Taliban.”

Omar’s intent seemed clearer if one watched the video that accompanied her tweet. It showed her question and answer session in Congress the same day, where she pressed Blinken on how the Biden administration proposed that alleged victims of war crimes seek redress, given that it opposed the ICC investigations into the two conflicts she cited.

“Where do we think victims are supposed to go for justice, and what justice mechanisms do you support?” she asked Blinken.

Omar’s spokesman, Jeremy Slevin, who is Jewish, said in a separate tweet that accusing a Muslim member of Congress of covering for terrorism was Islamophobic.

Agree or disagree with her perspective, this is not on the same level as the batshit crazy stuff MTG has said. I don't expect folks writing at the Federalist to understand that.

How much of this country actually gives a damn about Hunter Biden and his laptop? They act like this is bigger than Watergate

I think the more important issue is the 10% that supposedly went to the Big Guy

Let's face it, nepotism is an issue in both parties. Nobody would have made Hunter Biden a board member of anything because of his own stellar resumé. And Trump's children and son-in-law wouldn't have made the same kind of deals without their connection to him.

The one politician who doesn't appear to have relatives in lucrative positions and is "clean" seems to be DeSantis.

Considering Ron DeSantis' oldest child is 6 I would hope not.

But yes Hunter Biden certainly capitalized on his family name. He's certainly a slimy individual but so far there isn't much evidence that US Policy was changed in any way to favor him. OTOH there is evidence that military flights and overlays were changed so military personel would stay at Trump properties. The Secret Service was overcharged at Trump properties.

Also Pelosi has little to do with Hunter Biden.

Good riddance. Too bad Trump doesn't do the same. If both go away that's a massive win for the country
