Given Jabari's lackluster play if this continues and we're 20 games in the season, should the Rockets stop starting Jabari or send him to the G-League to be a main focus?
I say bench him first. That should wake him up and truthfully you're able to give KJ a promotion to reward his amazing play.
What do we gain from not playing our #3 pick in the NBA? What will he gain in the gleague? Give him time to play through it and learn like we did with Jalen. Maybe he's a complete bust but it's better to learn that in year 1 than to be holding out hope in future years.
Like Jalen did last year, Smith playing so bad feels like it has to be mental, once he has a confidence break through he’s going to be solid, sending him to the G-league could Markelle Fultz him
I say dock his pay down to only 7m a year and force him to live a life of poverty. That'll teach him to work harder.
Sigh. People out here treating Jabari like he is Nix. Come on people, he will eventually turn it around, give the 19 year old rookie more than 15 games before calling his career, learn from your Garuba and Green hate.
https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/garuba-is-looking-like-a-miss.314283/unread This thread is starting to look like the above thread. Can't wait to look back at this next year when Bari is dominating. OP is going to look like a fool....
I think he just needs a coach and offense willing to put him in positions to succeed. Tell me with a straight face that KPJ isn’t hurting Jabari’s development and confidence with his style of basketball running the floor. It’s not about hating on KPJ. It’s about Silas and Stone spending the 3rd pick in the draft on a super young, super long talented 2-way player who doesn’t have the handles to get his own shot, and then putting him in an offense with no structure and no movement and pairing him with a point guard that can’t facilitate for teammates. Come on!
What's the alternative? Tari can't shoot. Jabari is making all the right plays, he's just snakebit. We aren't going to the Western Conference Final this year. Let him work out of it
His shot form looks inconsistent. Sometimes it's really smooth (like tonight when he did a pick and pop with Jalen), but most of the time it's this jerky motion. That's something I did not anticipate. Hopefully he finds some time to work with one of our coaches to reaffirm his stroke.
I've said it about 5 times now but I see two different shots from him 1 the slow release, his upward motion takes a long time, he flings it past the apex of his jump. This has been his most common release and it's a rim magnet 2 the quick release, his shot is one sharp motion, he's usually set knee's bent elbows tucked pre catch, usually has a man closing in on him or shot clock is running out, these look WAY better Seems like someone needs to emphasize to him, release it quicker.
