I’m still convinced that the addition of Nix was due to a bet that Tilman lost to a poker buddy at his Golden Nugget casino. “Tilly, if I win this blackjack hand you have to put Nix on the active roster. If I hit blackjack you have to give him actual playing minutes”
Whoo … good. I was getting withdrawal and losing sleep not having some other random person’s opinion slammed to the top of the site instead of politely taking part in one of the 216 existing threads.
Boban shall be our point guard. But seriously. Why worry about it now when this is a tanking season. If we end up with the second pick then we get Scoot and all is resolved.
Potential assists from last night game. It is both encouraging and discouraging that Green has 3x as many potential assists as everyone else. It is incredibly discouraging to see Nix has the 2nd most potential assist, despite playing only 15 minutes. Not a lot more can be said about KPJ's playmaking that hasn't already been said. However, his 3 total assists on 4 potential assists means he got pretty lucky to even get 3 assists in the first place, since most playmakers at best have around 50% of their potential assists converted.
There are other point guards we can trade for: Tre Jones with the Spurs or Ayo or Coby White with the Bulls. Also, Ben Simmons would help with defense and he is a very good point guard.
He's going to **** up spacing for this team especially if you want Sengun as a starter with Simmons. That's two non shooters though Sengun at least has hope to be a competent outside threat.
It takes $37.65m in outgoing salary to make that trade. EG is $19.5m .... where's the other $18.15m coming from? I think he's a terrible idea either way.
Once the Rockets cut Favors over Boban, they pretty much telegraphed that they weren’t going to be making a trade for Westbrook (or any other star players).
I know KPJ has been getting a lot of attention here lately but Nix has been just horrendous this year man lol. When he air balled that wide open three from Jalen I bust out laughing. I looked up his numbers and he has a 31% turnover rate?! Like god damn that's almost twice as high as KPJ's who's is also way too high. Sheesh!
I changed my mind about Simmons, I just read report the teammates and coaches are upset about Simmons willingness to play…he does not have the heart. Never mind
