That's if we had signed one of them. What about signing both of them (although it looks like the NYY are resigning Rizzo)?

If you sign two then I believe it’s $1M in international money (instead of $500k) and the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th round picks. But don’t quote me on that

    Nope.. that is both.

What you are thinking is if we were over the luxury tax. Then you give up 2nd, 5th, and 1 million

"All other teams will lose their second-highest selection in the following year's Draft, as well as $500,000 from their international bonus pool for the upcoming signing period. If one of these teams signs two such players, it will also forfeit its third-highest remaining pick and an additional $500,000."

https://www.mlb.com/glossary/transa... it signs two such,, Royals, Tigers and Twins.

OK. That settles it. Verlander, Trout, Ohtani, Judge and Degrom. There's only one second round draft pick. Ohtani to DH either Trout or Judge in CF, and the other learns 1B.

    LOL! JK

So essentially the Yankees would be paying him 11 million additional to keep him that third year.

AAV would be $20M in 23 and 24 because a buyout is assumed. Then $11M AAV in 25 because the $6M has already been accounted for,

I was really hoping theyd throw stupid money at him and then it would be bye bye judge. Thats a fairly low deal for rizzo after last year.

I have to believe it's in the same neighborhood as Rizzo but without that buyout. So $17 million per. We need to pull the trigger.

Get Bell on two year deal with an opt out. Have Yanier get some at bats and hopefully he's able to take over if Bell has a big year.
