It's not all Jabari's fault. Dude needs guys to set him up. This offense is a sh**show. KPJ being the primary culprit.
Banchero's 6'10 paired with his court vision easily looks more promising, even if Green becomes a star himself.
I need Jabari to develop a go-to move on offense, try to get to the rim, and draw fouls, either that or hit all these wide-open corner threes. You need to have something in your bag or make an impact on the game with effort/hustle like Eason.
I think Hasheem Thabeet is the highest drafted player to be sent down to the g league. I don’t think the rockets will ever send Jabari to the g league. It would be pretty much admitting they blew the pick.
It’s hard to watch no doubt considering if you pass him the ball he takes two dribbles and passes it back. His shot will come once the game slows down. It’s unlikely to be this year so stay patient.
didn’t want him. would prefer to have been proven wrong. but now we’re stuck with him. he has shown some flashes of talent. recovering for blocks, skying for boards, his fastbreak alley oop pass to jalen previous game. but overall disappointingly underwhelming. that shot needs to start falling at least for one game, right?
I love Jabari, but I am tired of reading people complaining about his lack of shots, or we aren't using him. He stands around, waiting for the ball - he needs to put on his hard hat, grab a lunch pail and get to work. If Eason and KMJ and Mathews can get shots by moving off the ball then for danged sure our 6'11" number 3 pick can as well. When KPJ is trying to do too much move your ass to get the ball.....give KPJ an out you just know he is going to jump in the air to nowhere at least 5 times, that is 5 potential shots for you there. MOVE Jabari, you arern't HIM in the pros you are just another Joe until you prove otherwise. MOVE YOUR BODY ! DD
Thank you DD, this is what i was saying/asking Clutch after the game in playback... move and cut more, force yourself to get involved
I’m sure our r****ded 5 out hero ball McFail offensive scheme requires him to stay put outside the arc to generate all that amazing space! Who needs movement when going 1 on 5 works so well?
Jabari will be a monster when he figures it all out. He shows you glimpses, but the usual rookie growing pains are there. He went 2-4 from three and he had some great defensive plays with his steals
Tired of people blaming the guards for his struggles. He doesn’t hit his open shots, he doesn’t move off ball well, and he can’t create. This is on him for sure. With that being said, he’s gonna figure it out
He desperately needs someone else to set him up. His defense hasn't been as good as hoped for. I think the 3-point shots will eventually fall. But he needs a point guard, right now I mostly just see him as a catch-and-shoot guy on offense. 3-and-D type player. Complementary piece. Alpi and Jalen are more valuable and better. It's fine, it is what it is.
Well if you want the ball you move into a position to get it....regardless of if it clogs the lane, know what I am saying.... DD
You can see the potential, but he just stands around half the time. I do believe in the guy, but whatever they are doing with him clearly is not working.
It is tough to watch, we saw other guys selected this high come out a lot better both this year and last year, I just do not see the top talent on display, reminds me of Anthony Bennett. If you look up Jabari's page on ESPN, the last highlight he has is a video of him arguing w Jalen Green, that was weeks ago.
