Not wanting Obama to be a two term president isn't the controversial part. Why are you focusing on that?

What is controversial is that McConnell would block all legislation in order to make that happen. That wasn't normal and the way things were before.

It was reported over a week ago that Pelosi opened the door...

Pelosi opened the door with his left hand. In the dimly lit foyer, Pelosi nervously but calmly greeted the officers.

Not sure what you think is so controversial about that. When has there not been a widespread lack of support for controversial legislative action initiated by the opposition party? Sure we have bi-partisan bills but all that requires is a sponsor from each party.. RINOs exist. Is there a parallel sub-group in the Democratic party?

It wasn't just controversial legislation, it was all legislation.

Democrats voted for Trump’s Criminal Justice Reform, trade, and the first CARES Act. If I recall correctly A couple of Democrats voted for the tax cut bill and for Kavanaugh’s nomination.

If you want to invest heavily in political posturing, go ahead.

Please define RINO. Not what the acronym stands for, but an actual definition. It seems the far right likes to throw this term out there, but never defines it. How does a once staunch Republican become a RINO by this definition? McCain, McConnell, Barr, Cheney, etc.

My point was that I was unaware of a comparable term for a Democrat noteworthy for crossing the aisle. I don't know the definition; I just know it exists.

The term is DINO. Manchin is used as an example.

Criminal Justice Reform and the CARES Act were both Dem bills, of course they voted for them. Letting criminals out of prison early and giving money away? You think that was Dems supporting a Republican agenda? This just in, Republicans voted with the Democrats on funding the military. As for Kavanaugh's confirmation, only Manchin voted in support of it (it would have been an extra vote, but it allowed on of the Republican Senators to go to his daughter's wedding, so that was nice of him). Not a single Democrat voted for the TCJA.

Last I checked Trump is a Republican and was a Republican when those bills came up. Those were bills that Trump championed so the point still stands. Democrats were willign to work with Republicans on some bills.

Does he have more than a very recent reputation? RINOs have "been around"

The terms DINO and RINO have both been around since the early 1900s, but RINO didn't really become a "common" term until after 2016 when any Republican had an opinion different than Trump. There may have been instances here and there, but nowhere near the number since Trump.

Reminds me of Yao fans back in the day when I made up a story when the Rockets lost to the Celtics and I said Yao had a bad game.
They went D&D on me and I said that Len Bias outplayed him.
Then they proceeded to talk about how Yao was better than Len Bias….

    yeah
    Don’t read , don’t watch and don’t research

@bobrek - did you actually bother to watch the video? Your comment lecturing me would make no sense if you had actually watched it.

The D&D is like the Spurs coach Bob Hill decided to let David Robinson guard Hakeem 1x1 with no help.
