It was good. As everyone is saying they handle the loss of Boseman/T'Challa well. The introduction of Namor just works and they manage to introduce a powerful character without nerfing him for the sake of who he's on screen with. Honestly, other than not having the actual black panther, it was better than the first, in many ways. If you like Marvel movies you'll like this one. I think Coogler is a step above most of the phase 4 directors and should get the nod for at least one of the next big team up movies. Obviously, if you're some downer who doesn't like anything, you may not like this. "I HAVEN'T LIKED THE LAST 13 MARVEL MOVIES!!!"........give it a rest...just stop watching, at some point it's just not for you, and that's OK.
Real talk.. I myself know this was it for me.. I'm not into the new characters. I just got into Marvel about 5 years ago because of the familiarity with the older guys ( Cap, Thor. Hulk , etc) . The new generation taking over and as much as I tried , I can't get into the Ms. Marvels and Shang Chis so I'm out! .. but I won't come on here bashing it because I'm the get off my lawn kinda guy.. It ain't for me and I know it
I thought it was pretty good, right on the level of the first. They really handled the grief well and I really didn’t notice the longer runtime. Wasn’t really moved by the villain, but I still thought the actor did a great job. Would have been really great if they did a better job with the villain’s story.
these dudes just trying to get clicks. Outrage is very lucrative for them. Even if they enjoyed the movie thats not very profitable.
I haven't seen it yet, but I don't trust the opinions of these "geeks and gamers" people who hate everything, women, progressive, or have anything to do with melanin. All their reviews are disingenuous and serve their community of haters.
I thought Dr. Strange was good. Much better than the first. No Way Home was purely fan service. Fun movie but terrible plot.
nothing about Wakanda Forever was “woke” get that bullsh*t outta here woke these days basically means anything that isn’t straight white male centric as the term has become misappropriated
Wife and I enjoyed it but I personally found the pacing a bit slow for my taste and its juggling a lot including be respectful of Boseman while still being a moving piece in large franchise. Tenoch Huerta was great as Namor, thought he was the character with the most depth which made him the most interesting. I thought they could have given Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira a lot more to do, both are more interesting actresses than Letitia Wright who doesn't have enough onscreen presence to carry something this big. Its probably one of the more difficult comic book films to pull off due to what's happened in the real world and they did as well as can be expected. Solid B overall for me.....
Just saw it. I thought it was good. Really liked Namor, was clever how they came up with his name. I had my nitpicks but overall I liked it.
seen this twice already, and might see it again the tribute to T’Challa/Chadwick is so well done I love the score during the tribute Nyana Wam means “my son” in Xhosa the change in tone from 1:12 to 1:55 to 2:45…so well done Ludwick Goransson outdid himself once again producing these BPll scores
Disney could have at least added jollof rice and suya to the menu Are they gonna have refried beans and tacos for Talocan? Nachos for Namor?
Surprisingly very happy with this, I was hesitant going in due to wanting a recast but they handled everything well. Tribute to Chadwick, great visuals/landscapes for the battles, a strong villain with a dramatic story that moved some audience members and they applauded in my theater at the end. Even had Micheal B. Jordan again. This was an A sequel imo, the audience and critics have it right. Great job by Coogler
