Legit one of the best fights I have ever seen. Hats off to chandler too, but no way he's 5'8" probably 5'6" max lol
he's right, theres a time to step away. Especially in a sport where your health is always at risk. GSP and Khabib have openly talked about how a lot of guys don't know when to ahng it up
Esparza did better than I expected but Zhang still was the decisive winner. 2/2 so far on how I thought it would go, now on the biggest fight of the night!
Adesanya was playing with fire and finally got caught, he should have respected his power more. He should have played it more like he did Romero. Hey, good for Pereira though, scary power on that left hook.
Bones a pretty terrible person, but nobody like him has every stepped foot in the octagon. He's basically a Jordan...he showed up and ****ed up all the legends without losing a single round. A HOF once said he never felt he didn't belong there until he fought Jon Jones. The guy is s sociopathic killer. The way he dropped Machida and talked about how he could have snapped his neck...still makes me unsettled. If only he had his head on right, this dude and his mentality were a talent you see in a lifetime. Regardless, he is still the UFC GOAT
I don't think it would have mattered. If you looked at how he was all fight he was over respecting and pretty fearful the whole time. He tried catching his hands and went for the hug anytime he got him up on the cage. It was only a matter of time, the power behind those punches is insane. DC. pointed it out, it was obvious and alex knew that Izzy was scared of that hook...impossible to avoid completely Izzy played it as good as he could, but when you have to go 5 rounds without landing those shots to the face and you finally get one its too difficult.
I call bullshit on a ref stopping the fight with a champion still on his/her feet We've seen so many wild exchanges where fighters can survive moments like that, they should let it play out until the fighter falls (in competitive fights).
