My point was, since Caleb is projected by many to be the #1 QB prospect in 2024 and a can't miss prospect, similar to Lawrence when he came out, it doesn't mean it's going to work out.

I'm not sure about their Highschool accolades but as far as college both Caleb and Trevor were/are projected to be can't miss prospects.

You just said, Caleb is the dude, correct?

Loved watching Tarkenton although I didn't like the Vikings.

You put great belief in outliers. I don't and that's okay.

I started watching football at age 10 and adopted the Vikings as my NFC team. Loved the whole team, "purple people eaters".

Im not sure anyone is saying Williams is a "cant miss" prospect. I for one didnt ever really feel that towards Lawrence either. Last guy I thought was a lock was Andrew Luck.

Drafting QBs is a crap shoot where the player talent may not even be the most important factor. Drafting a QB HERE is a huge gamble and expecting talent alone to steer the ship is a slippery slope without the requisite support around the player.

Many on this board are sold on Williams as am I but as you and I keep saying, the draft is a GAMBLE.

As I laid out previously, many Draft Analysts thought Lawrence was a generational talent but he never has pand out.

Looking at Bryce Young today, to me, he is showing he is QB1 in this draft class. This Alabama team is not the teams of old. He is basically holding them together. And I actually think he is bigger than Murray.

I saw Murray up close and he is 5'9 all day, Bryce appears to be at least 6'0. However, his frame is slight, where as Murray is thicker.

    But Young is Special.

Young is special. And clear QB1, but he’s not 5’10.
He’s shorter than Metchie who was 5’11 at combine

Drake Maye should be a lot higher on Heisman boards. He has NC at 9-1 and the best numbers in the country

Drake Maye has been playing well and he should be in the Heisman conversation but why are we discussing a QB who can't be drafted until 2025??

I don't know if you all are watching the Texans or not but they need a QB NOW! I hate to see what Pierce would look like then.

Ohio St QBs are far worse.
    But you’re ok with Stroud……

Why do people judge QBs based on what college they came from? Especially when they played under different head coaches.

Honest question. Curious if anyone has a legitimate answer.
