RCP, the GOP's go-to site for projections: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2022/senate/elections-map-rcp-projection.html Senate was projected to be 53-47. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2022/house/elections-map.html House was projected at 227 GOP, 174 Dem, 34 Tossup. If you split the tossups 50/50, that would have put the GOP at 244 seats. They aren't even going to get anywhere near the 227 they had as solid GOP. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2022/governor/elections-map-rcp-projection.html They also predicted +2 GOP governors and instead will lose some.
If they put Trump up again he loses, if DeSantis runs I think a lot of the moderates will go back to GOP. Hard to be worse than biden
I don't get the strategy, but keep attacking young people GOP and see how that works out for u in the future
It's good to know polling is getting better. Let's find common ground. I am glad Trumpism is finally being rejected. Truly happy. Let's hope the Trump distraction is coming to an end and we start to have more competent candidates run for each party.
For generations people have hoped for youth vote to turn out. Now they finally are, and it is angering the GOP because they don't address the issues young voters care about. Young voters care about gun control, climate change, right to choose, not discriminating against LGBTQ etc., loan forgiveness. The GOP is on the wrong side of those issues for younger voters, and they've been calling them lazy slackers and are angry the Gen Z voters are actually participating in the process. They made their bed. Thy will have to lie in it. The GOP base is dying off at a quicker rate than the Gen Z voters.
they do things like sue to try and do away with student loan forgiveness, and chastise and attack this voting block at every turn, then act angry and confused when the vote is the way that it is
Prob won't change until boomers die off as a voting bloc and that generational wealth gets transferred to their beneficiaries. They really are a speedbump and an albatross to the economy, but i suppose every gen would act the same
and it looks like crime was the most important issue to like 10% of voters I guess most weren't buying the rhetoric that the streets are like Baghdad and there's a rapist, murderer, and pedophile around every corner looking to put fentanyl in kid's Halloween candy How many people really live their lives this fearful and paranoid? Listen to the GOP, and u should be afraid to ever leave your house I would hear or see ad after ad...all the stock footage of people running around the streets with cars on fire and an explosion in the background was cute tho
Ha, I am not religious at all. I just posted that because it is a perspective that is real. I knew it would draw some ire.
2016 was the wake up call that the youth needed. Youth saw the Republicans for who they were, taking away rights, abusing power, etc.
