    I'm just talking about this one play.

    No coach would advise to leave shooters wide open to triple-team a stationary C off the catch at the FT line. Double? Maybe. But even so, they wouldn't have the double come from someone so near without someone else coming to cover for that guy's matchup.

    The triple-team was clearly a miscommunication on the Raptors side. No HS, college, or pro coach would call that.

    But the basic idea still stands. It is a mistake that is made because they had to adjust to Sengun. Nurse told his team to do something, which they did or more probably could not execute.

    THIS
    they were 'forced' into making the mistake because they tried something out of ordinary and it backfired at that occasion!

    yes and the miscommunication happened because alpi forced them to go to an uncharted territory... ie try a different tactic they were not used to as much...

    The Raptors' decision on that play was unusual but it did seem pretty intentional to me. As if they were intent on cutting off Sengun's ability to play the offensive hub.

    But at the same time, they seemed to be daring the Rockets perimeter guys beat them. So, they packed the paint and didn't show a lot of respect for Houston's ability to make the outside shot.

    not even the first time that happened... Stop trying to find ridiculous excuses. Sengun has the highest offensive gravity in Rockets. Unbelievable how long will you keep diminishing him?

    @hakeem94

    Is this a miscommunication too?

    LOL THIS...its like these guys never even watched alpi play....
    single coverage was never enough to contain alpi in NBA.. except when silas took him out of rhythm by playing him 6 minutes or 3 x 4 minutes a night

    no matter how many examples we show them Sengun has that SPECIAL offensive gravity...they won't accept, I'm sure about that.
