I used to spend much more time arguing like this but I have other things to do. These guys seem to deliberately misunderstand or run with the worst possible interpretation of a quick response that (maybe) wasn't perfectly crafted. They have a deviousness of which I am weary of wasting time.

You're welcome to your opinion on Trump. You cannot prove one iota of your claim-- which must be comforting.

I go back to my original brilliant analogy: did Karl Malone set illegal screens for John Stockton? Depends whom you ask-- a Jazz or a Rocket fan.

    I feel ya.

I've been away from here for a couple of days and had the intention of find your REPLY and responding but thanks for the goose! I got too busy in ratatat back and forths with some of these folks.

What kind of votes was he being asked to "find"? Illegitimate ones? Votes subtracted are as good as votes added for a net change.

He didn't say "get" or "give" me 11,000 votes which is far more deliberate and directive.

Trump is bombastic so he doesn't choose his words very carefully. Did he know the call was recorded or likely to be recorded?

Hillary famously once said "What does it matter, now?" after those American heroes were slain in Benghazi. As much as I dislike her, I don't think she is that hard-hearted and spoke out of frustration with a wish to reel in her words almost immediately.

It's tough to live in a world where every word you utter is intensely scrutinized and weaponized against you...

Key word... "formally". As I said, Biden was the figurehead spokesperson all that summer.

You can read or listen to the entire phone call. Essentially, Trump keeps providing bogus data to Raffensberger that Raffensberger keeps telling Trump is wrong. Trump comes up with 10s of thousands of dead people voting which Georgia had already looked into and found 2 instances. (If I remember correctly, both those instances were bogus...e g. A widow voted under her Mrs. "Husband's name"and it was said that her dead husband voted).

Trump talked about shredded votes and ballots that were scanned 3 times and a block of mysterious votes that went 100% to Biden, but the SOS kept telling him those were bogus claims.

When SOS said people on social media are writing whatever they wanted to which Trump replied "this isn't on social media, it's on Trump media".

So with Trump using hundreds of thousands of bogus vote claims, he wanted Raffensberger to "find" the 11,800 Trump needed to win among problems that didn't exist.

So, call it what you want, but you had
Trump wanting Raffensberger to use all of these bogus vote claims to find 11,800 votes.

I offer no sympathy for Trump's recklessness. Forces were working against him before he even took office.

One of my friends used to say that he liked Trump as president but he wouldn't want him living next door.

One of my friends said that he liked Trump as a president until he plotted and attempted a coup, then he felt that outweighed any of the other things he liked.

His own party-peers didn't want him as a candidate. The Democrats prosecuted him with a fake dossier. They empaneled the Mueller Report. They impeached him twice. The press was aligned against him. Every step of the way was an uphill battle.

Nevertheless, he over-reached in challenging the election. That's his bombastic personality.

He tarnished his legacy of accomplishment as a president. We were better off then.

Trump was no JFK... or was he?! LOL.

Dude Trump organized the entire rally that had nothing to do with the media.

Wow just when I think your type can't be any more delusional, you say something like Trump "chimed in" like he did not organize the entire Jan 6 thing.

The media did not make him the loudest voice in the room, Trump meticulously plotted to be not only the loudest but also the only voice in the room.

    If your say so...Anyway
    Simple question...

Do you think the USA would be in a better place democracy wise had Trump conceded after his numerous lawsuits were denied and the numerous recounts that showed no fraud were completed and he listened to his family and advisors that showed no voter fraud?

Do you think we would have had the January 6th nonsense if he had done what every single president in my lifetime had done - concede and congratulate the incoming President?
